Jackson Wang has released yet another cinematic wonder ‘Leave Me Loving You’ showing off his skills not just as a musician but also as a director who can flawlessly execute emotionally rich complex concepts so beautifully. The official music video also comes as a bonus where the behind-the-scenes clips are attached and fans get to take a sneak peek at how GOT7 star executed his new single ‘Leave Me Loving You’, very much reminiscent of 80’s Chinese films with the retro settings and the diner used.

Jackson Wang’s ‘Leave Me Loving You’ comes after his January release, a Chinese single ‘Alone’ and a collaboration track with Rain titled ‘Magnetic’ released on March. Earlier in 2020, Wang released ‘Pretty Please’ which almost looks like a prequel to ‘Leave Me Loving You’ with the similar setting of diner and Jackson Wang’s outfit repeating in the new video. Here’s all that is to know about ‘Leave Me Loving You’.

Concept

The new single 'Leave Me Loving You' is a budding love story that leads to a heartbreaking ending and Jackson Wang does every bit of justice portraying the young romance on-screen with upbeat vocals, minimal and retro settings; His diner theme, and signature outfit from 'Pretty Please' making a comeback here, which signify the singer's quest to find the love. In 'Pretty Please', the singer is bolder, with a red rose in lips, dancing in rain. In 'LMLY', the love is more intense yet subdued, the budding rose left on the floor, depicting his love stir, which remains incomplete.

Lyrics

'Leave Me Loving You' portraying the story of unrequited love has some piercing lines where Jackson sings, "What if I just hold on for a while
Baby there’s no drug quite like denial/ Oh my, if this is goodbye/ Don’t leave me loving you/ But whatever you do/ Don’t leave me loving you/ If you tip toe out in the morning/ I need a warning/ If you don’t feel it too/ But whatever you do/ Don’t leave me loving you/ If you’re out of this when I’m all in!"
