Are Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Ji-hye dating? Real story behind 'Crash Landing On You' stars' romance rumors

‘Crash Landing On You’ stars, Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Ji-hye, are potentially dating, says Korean media dispatch after sharing some of the exclusive snaps of the on-screen pair in their apartment parking. The media report has claimed that the duo has been mostly having home dates and the 31-year-old ‘Mr Queen’ star also shifted to Seo Ji-hye’s neighborhood Seongdong-gu in 2020 which makes the distance between the duo’s residence barely 10 minutes.

After the pictures of the duo surfaced, the respective agencies of both the Koreanstars quickly denied the rumors. But later, Ilgan Sports brought a new report which claimed that  Kim Jung-hyun will not be continuing with O& Entertainment after his contract ends next month. To add more to the twist, Seo Ji-hye’s agency Culture Depot stated, “We are positively discussing an exclusive contract with Kim Jung-hyun.”

'Home date' pictures of Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Ji-hye

Dispatch revealed a number of exclusive pictures where Ji-hye and Jung-hyun appear in casual cozy wear heading towards elevators and in an apartment building parking area. Dispatch wrote, “Dispatch has spotted them on their home dates several times. Kim Jung-hyun went first, and Seo Ji-hye followed. They walked with a certain distance between each other.” Along with their home dates, the publication also revealed that the duo had their fair share of dates on special occasions like the pair's birthdays and more. A source close to the pair said, “They spend a lot of time alone with just the two of them. They spent their birthdays together as well.” Dispatch also cited other acquaintances who stated, “Kim Jung-hyun had a difficult period due to some personal issues. He then met Seo Ji-hye and relied on her.” According to the report of Dispatch, the duo has been with each other for over a year now.

Another person from Cultural Depot, Seo Ji-hye's agency, added, “Kim Jung-hyun will be a free agent soon. He spoke with Seo Ji-hye about the matter of transferring agencies. Due to Covid-19, they met at home to discuss.” To a statement to Herald Pop, the agency further noted, “They are close friends,” asserting, “Many celebrities live in Seongdong District. Because they live close by and the Covid-19 pandemic is widespread, they decided to meet at home instead of meeting outside. Kim Jung Hyun only had a conversation with Seo Ji Hye ahead of becoming a free agent.”

'Getting their happy ending off-screen?'

The news of Seo Ji Hye and Kim Jung Hyun has a fair share of mixed reactions from fans, while the fans have condemned the stalking nature of Dispatch where they have followed the pair over a year now, others have commented how this means that the pair is finally getting a happy ending. A fan wrote, "IM SO TORN. my cloy heart is happy bec i really wanted a happy ending for Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ji Hye there but my Mr Queen heart is aching for Shin Hye Sun AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IDK!" referring to another popular on-screen pairing of Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun. 

Another fan shared, "As much as I’m happy for Seo Ji Hye and Kim Jung Hyun whether they're dating or just friends, but idk I find it scary how Dispatch stalks and invades the privacy of the celeb's life. Imagine going home alone or not and there's someone stalking you/taking pictures of you??" A firm believer of the relationship, a fan wrote, "THE REASON WHY THE DENIAL WAS FAST, KIM JUNG HYUN & SEO JI HYE IS DATING!!!"
