As the dispute between his father and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continued to rage on Wednesday, December 4, Donald Trump Jr. weighed in on the diplomatic matter by posting a now-infamous picture of Trudeau wearing blackface.

It a public show of support for the POTUS, Trump Jr. took a swipe at the Canadian leader by digging up his old photograph, for which Trudeau has already issued an apology. "As usual @RealDonaldTrump is 100% right!!! Trump calls Trudeau 'two-faced' see evidence below," he captioned the post.

The post was in reference to Trump's angry comments about Trudeau after he and other world leaders including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and French President Emmanuel Macron were recorded mocking him during a special NATO leaders' reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.

After the news broke, Trump dramatically departed to Washington from the 70th anniversary NATO summit in Hertfordshire.

"He's two-faced... I find him to be a nice guy, but the truth is I called him out on the fact that he's not paying 2 percent [of national GDP towards defense] and I guess he's not very happy about it," Trump told reporters Wednesday. "He's not paying 2 percent and he should be paying 2 percent. Canada - they have money. Look, I'm representing the US and he should be paying more than he's paying, he understands it... I can imagine he's not that happy but that's the way it is."

Following the video of him making fun of Trump going viral, Trudeau tried to do damage control by suggesting that the leaders' intention was not to ridicule the President but merely to express surprise he chose to announce details of an upcoming G7 summit.

"We were all surprised and I think pleased to learn that the next G7 will be at Camp David. I think that was an unscheduled announcement and I think everyone's team, every different leader has teams that every now and then have their jaw drop at unscheduled surprises like that video itself for example," he said.
