In an extensive Instagram post on Monday, captioned, "Hope you find time to read this it’s from my heart," singer Justin Bieber admitted that fame and stardom at a very young age left him "a shell of a person" as he became suicidal and addicted to drugs.

"It's hard to get out of bed in the morning with the right attitude when you are overwhelmed with your life, your past, job, responsibilities, emotions, your family, finances, your relationships. Sometimes it can even get to the point where you don't even want to live anymore," the post noted at the beginning.

Clearly, in a reflective mood,  25-year-old musician talked about "insane pressure and responsibility" that overnight fame puts on a child "who's brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making)aren't developed yet."

He went onto talk about how the stardom affected him when he had just stepped into his teens, especially since he came from a broken home and never had the stability of his parent's relationship to fall back on.

"I went from a 13-year-old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the world with millions saying how much they loved me and how great I was," he wrote. "You hear these things enough as a young boy and you actually start believing it."

Since "humility" and "rationality" comes with age, Justin said that at the age of 18 he was unaware of the "fundamentals of responsibility." That, combined with the fact that he had people handling every aspect of his life and had access to millions of dollars to buy whatever he wanted, helped him make "every bad decision you could have thought of."

As a result, Justin "went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged and hated person in the world!"

He added: "I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships. I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry. I became distant to everyone who loved me... It's taken me years to bounce back from all of these terrible decisions, fix broken relationships, and change relationship habits."

He credited his marriage to Hailey Baldwin as well as "extraordinary people who love me for me" for helping him find his way back.

"Now I am navigating the best season of my life 'MARRIAGE'!! which is an amazing crazy new responsibility," he shared. "You learn patience, trust, commitment, kindness, humility and all of the things it looks like to be a good man."

In conclusion, he told his fans that "even when the odds are against you, keep fighting."

This is not the first time that Justin had spoken out about the struggles that come with stardom. "I just want people to know I’m human. I’m struggling just to get through the days," he told NME while promoting his album "Purpose" in 2015.
