June Shannon facing 'toughest week' as TLC star wishes daughter Anna Cardwell's death were a 'nightmare'
MILLEDGEVILLE, GEORGIA: June Shannon took to Instagram on Wednesday night to pay heartfelt tribute to her dead daughter Anna Cardwell. Anna died of adrenal cancer on December 9 and it seems June has been struggling ever since her daughter's death.
The 44-year-old uploaded a photo where Anna is seen helping June to wear her necklace.
June captioned the photo, "This has been one of the toughest weeks of my life." She adds, "I wish all this was a nightmare I could just wake up from n you b right here with us."
Amid mourning the loss of her eldest daughter, June invited fans to pay respect to the 29-year-old before her funeral. She has also revealed that Anna's chair and other stuff ha been kept undisturbed amid her death.
June uploaded a video on Instagram where she revealed to her fans about holding a visiting hours for fans on Wednesday at Williams White-Columns Funeral Hom in Gordon, Georgia.
June claimed in her video, "So ya’ll, the fans, can say goodbye to her, we decided as we decided as a family, cause she wanted us to go live here on TikTok, on social media, but we’re not doing that."
Mama June asks fans to pray for her family amid Anna Cardwell's death
On December 9, June uploaded a photo with hands saying, "Pray for us."
She captioned the post, "Y’all we r asking for prayers for our family as we are going through this process we really appreciate y’all for all the thoughts and prayers and we will update y’all whenever we can just know that all of your thoughts and your prayers are very much appreciated during this time."
She then asked fans to spare her with the negative comments on the mourning day, claiming, "I appreciate all of the prayers and everything but all of y’all negative b**ches are gonna rotten fucking hell."
How did Anna Cardwell die?
The mother of two, Anna was diagnosed with Stage 4 adrenal cancer in January 2023. She struggled with cancer for 10 months and passed away on December 9.
The news of Anna's death was announced by the family on that particular day itself. June wrote, "With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM."
She added, "She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today. We love y’all and continued prayers and thoughts for our family doing this difficult time."
