What did Julia Wandelt state in the interview?

Wandelt explained, “I was never angry (at) them; I always loved them because I was always with them,” she said. “I think for the first time I started to ask myself, why (my) family (who) raised me, why they tried to destroy (me)…. I always tried to understand it, OK, it’s your family, ok, they want to help you, they want to do everything to help you, but it’s not the truth. They don’t want to help me," as per Radar Online. Wandelt gathered worldwide attention as she came up with an Instagram handle declaring herself to be McCann, the three-year-old British girl who went missing from a hotel in Portugal on a vacation with her parents.

Why did Wandelt shift from Poland to USA?

Wandelt was taken to the US by Johansson after she received death threats online. The California-based private detective said Julia felt terrified" and "unsafe" after receiving the messages, which included disturbing sexual comments from haters. While welcoming Wandelt to the USA, Johansson wrote in one of her Instagram stories, "Thanks for the extra protection I love you USA. Welcome to USA Julia - the land of love and dreams." Julia has reportedly been bombarded by vile messages, with one saying there was a €30,000 ($31600.56) bounty on her head.

Johansson believes Poland is not safe for Wandelt any longer. "My number one priority has always been Julia's safety," Johnasson told The Sun. "The haters have been attacking Julia since she came forward. The situation in Poland is she has nobody. Her family won't talk to her." Johnasson also added, "Julia has never said, 'I am Madeleine McCann'. She has lots of questions about her past and she asked for help. We are open to all possibilities," she said. "Having spent time with Julia and investigating this I do not think she is lying or making things up for followers, everything she says appears to be real. "She says she was abused as a child and we have found evidence in court that she was abused between 2011 and 2012." Wandelt is currently awaiting her DNA results to know if she is actually McCann.
