Julia Wandelt: US police taking Polish girl's claims of being missing Madeleine McCann 'seriously'
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Julia Wandelt, 21, (also Julia Wendell/Julia Fustyana) who claims to be Madeleine McCann, a 3-year-old girl who disappeared from a hotel in Portugal in 2007, has landed in the United States. Dr Fia Johansson, her psychic and private investigator, has claimed she is in constant contact with US authorities and that they are "seriously" looking into the Wandelt claims.
Wandelt recently visited the US after facing death threats and social media backlash, including a $31600.56 bounty on her head. When Wandelt decided to move to the US, Johansson said, "My number one priority has always been Julia's safety. The haters have been attacking Julia since she came forward. The situation in Poland is she has nobody. Her family won't talk to her." Meanwhile, Wandelt has even deleted her social media account in light of the furore.

What did Dr Fia Johansson say about threats against Julia Wandelt?
On her Instagram stories, Johansson said, "We've officially filed a report with law enforcement taking into account all the threats made online, documenting every account and individuals associated with disseminating threats and falsehoods regarding Julia's case and status. We've shared every email and social media account that's communicated directly with Julia, both threatening or attempting to lie about their connection to her family/Madeleine's family in order to lure her to their country. As with threats of this magnitude, US police are taking her case seriously and looking into all information/accounts with caution and deep concern. She further added, "Julia is safe and she is happy. She wants to say THANK YOU to everyone that has shown her compassion, understanding, and support since this all began. Having the police involved in her case now is good news. We also will share some positive updates shortly. Thank you all for your care and positive thoughts for Julia!"
Why is Dr Fia Johansson protecting Julia Wandelt?
Johansson has been extremely protective of Wandelt. She has even said, "Julia has never said, 'I am Madeleine McCann.' She has lots of questions about her past and she asked for help. We are open to all possibilities. Having spent time with Julia and investigating this I do not think she is lying or making things up for followers. Everything she says appears to be real. She says she was abused as a child and we have found evidence in court that she was abused between 2011 and 2012." Further she added, "We have asked her family for a DNA test but her mother blocked her and they refused to even take our calls. We can't get a court order to force them to because there is a law against it in Poland. We went to the police in Poland to report her concerns she may be Madeleine McCann but they said they do not have any investigations about any missing persons outside the country. The country where Maddie is missing from - Portugal - would have to force Poland to look at it. So the police cannot say whether she is Madeleine or not Madeleine," as per The Sun.
