Julia Wandelt, who claims to be Madeleine McCann, is 'different' after ESCAPING Poland: Dr Fia Johansson
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Private investigator and 'psychic' Fia Johansson, also known as the 'Persian Medium,' helped Julia Wandelt move from Poland to California because she believed the Polish native's claim that she might be Madeleine McCann. However, Johansson says that Wandelt is "like a different person" now that she has left her own country. After getting many death threats and having a price placed on her head, Julia Wendell, 21, escaped to the US with Johansson's help.
Her move happened after she had gained over a million followers on an Instagram account (deleted since) where she published purported evidence that she was Madeleine McCann, the Leicestershire girl who vanished in 2007 while on vacation in Portugal. Fia Johansson is a private investigator and self-described medium who has previously worked with US authorities on missing persons cases. She assisted Julia in entering the country and is currently looking into her claims while the Polish girl lives with her in her California residence.

US police hunt for 'sex traffickers' looking for Julia
Johansson previously disclosed that men, pretending to be 'family friends' of Kate and Gerry McCann, had pursued Julia in an effort to get her to a hotel. When Julia landed safely in America, Johansson informed US authorities about the incident. According to Johansson, the US police are looking into the possibility that sex traffickers are looking for Julia in an effort to silence her, as reported by Daily Star.
She is 'happier' in California
Johansson is with Julia at her current residence in California, where she is "more happier" than she was in Poland, according to the investigator. Johansson said, "Despite everything she has gone through, she is much happier here in the US. She is honestly like a different person," as reported by the Sun.
She further added, "She is staying with me in my home and my family has welcomed her with open arms - they love her. She says this is the first time she has experienced love or felt like she belonged in a family." She signed off, saying, "And she feels much safer here in the US since we flew from Poland and reported all the threats she has received to police."
In order to determine her ancestry, Julia has sent three DNA samples for forensic investigation. Johansson is certain that Julia was brought into Poland as a kid by human traffickers and is hoping that the ancestry test findings will reveal Julia's true origins. Julia's family in Poland disagrees with her assertions. Johansson claims that Julia's parents have also blocked Julia's phone number and declined to submit to a DNA test, as per reports.
