Stormy Daniels ordered to pay Donald Trump nearly $300,000 in attorney's fees, sanctions over lawsuit
The amount is reportedly much less than what Trump's lawyer, Charles Harder, had asked for earlier this month in the US District Court in Los Angeles.
A federal judge on Tuesday ordered adult film star, Stormy Daniels, to pay President Donald Trump over $292,000 in attorney's fees and an additional $1,000 in sanctions after her defamation suit against the Republican was dismissed.
The amount is reportedly much less than what Trump's lawyer, Charles Harder, had asked for earlier this month in the US District Court in Los Angeles. Reports state Harder asked for nearly $800,000 in legal fees and sanctions.
US District Judge James Otero dismissed Daniels' suit which she had filed over a tweet which Trump wrote in April, and which suggested she was lying about being threatened to keep her sexual tryst with the president a secret.
