Joy Behar labels Donald Trump ‘traitor’ on ‘The View’ as co-hosts discuss his fourth indictment
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The View’ co-hosts missed a lot over the summer hiatus, and they have returned to the panel to discuss some of the biggest headlines from the month of August. Former president Donald Trump’s fourth indictment in Georgia was the first topic to come up.
The co-hosts and the audience on ‘The View’ all seemed thrilled when Trump’s indictment was introduced as a topic on the talk show, and Joy Behar, who was the moderator in Whoopi Goldberg’s absence, was quick to call Trump a “traitor.”

Joy Behar started the segment and said, “We missed a lot this summer, people were writing on Facebook – when are you coming back, you’re missing everything, we want to hear everything you have to say, so let’s say what we have to say today.”
“Trump had his fourth indictment, he was indicted by a grand jury, along with eighteen of his allies, including Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows—” Behar said, interrupted by a huge round of applause from the audience who was eager to hear their take.
Behar continued, “Trying to overthrow the election in Georgia. So he’s facing 91 felony charges, 4 indictments in various districts, and a ray of civil cases. He was twice impeached, as you always remind us,” she said, looking at Sunny Hostin, who nodded with a smile.

Joy Behar then posed a question, “So what can we do to stop this guy from running? Because obviously, he’s a traitor! So why would he be running for president if he’s a traitor?”
Sunny Hostin then took over to talk numbers, as she and Alyssa Farah Griffin discussed whether 59% or 60% of GOP voters are supporting Trump. As they settled on 60%, Behar chimed in, “So there’s 40% who haven’t lost their minds?”
At this, Behar earned another applause from the audience, and Ana Navarro stepped in as she mentioned some of them could be supporting Ron DeSantis, claiming “the bar is low.”
In response, Behar thought that she thought “the alternative was Democrat” and Sara Haines, who sat next to Behar, asked her not to get ahead of herself.
