Jonathan Rivera: NYC man charged for forcing mother to record sex acts with her 4-year-old son
YONKERS, NEW YORK: A 33-year-old man allegedly enlisted a Yonkers woman to record child-porn videos using her son, 4. The suspect, Jonathan Rivera, worked at a Brooklyn elementary school. He has been charged with production and distribution of child pornography. The city Department of Education officials confirmed that he was a substitute paraprofessional at PS 147 in Williamsburg for a year and a half.
On February 27, Rivera was arrested along with Delicia Aguirre-Orellana, 22, the child's mother. “At Rivera’s direction,” the Yonkers woman allegedly made video recordings of sex acts she performed on her 4-year-old child – “one of the most heinous acts imaginable,” Manhattan and Westchester prosecutors charged.

DOE spokeswoman Sarah Casasnovas said that Rivera worked at the pre-K-to-5th grade Brooklyn school from January 2020 until July 2021, and “had no disciplinary history". She confirmed that he has been suspended. If convicted, he will be fired.
“The level of depravity alleged in the charges filed today against Mr. Rivera are nearly unfathomable. The FBI and our partners remain committed to bringing to justice all those who would seek to harm our society’s most vulnerable members. The release says, "RIVERA, 33, of Brooklyn, New York, is charged with one count of production of child pornography, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison, and one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison. The statutory maximum sentence is prescribed by Congress and is provided here for informational purposes only, as any sentencing of the defendant will be determined by the judge."
His accomplice, Aguirre-Orellana s charged with one count of production of child pornography. As per the release, this "carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison, one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, and one count of possession of child pornography involving images of a minor who had not yet attained the age of 12, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison."
Prosecutors have said that Rivera “engaged in similar conversations with other women online". He may have used social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Badoo, Telegram, and Facebook, and usernames of his accounts include, Jriv3ra718, Jriv3ra11, Jaid3nrivera718, Thebrimbrothers, Jano59fifty, and Nathan. “We believe there may be more victims of these alleged crimes,” said Damian Williams, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah said, “Crimes committed against children, especially ones perpetrated by a parent or caretaker, are deeply disturbing and those who prey upon and sexually exploit children will be aggressively prosecuted. As alleged in this case, Dilicia Aguirre-Orellana sexually violated and exploited her own child in unspeakable ways. This case shows how law enforcement at the federal, state and local levels can work together to protect the most vulnerable victims. My office is proud to have partnered with the Yonkers Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York on this remarkable collaborative effort which put an end to the alleged abuse of a young victim, and will help any other potential victims come forward.”
