Johnny Depp fashions a 'bra' out of cloth napkins and the world is thanking him for the 'masterpiece'
Johnny Depp's Instagram debut, a couple of days ago, created quite the flutter among fans. While the coronavirus pandemic continues to claim victims world over, fans are looking for any sort of cheer in the lockdown and Depp seems to have brought them some shred of joy.
Depp shared an Instagram video of himself social-distancing at home amid the pandemic. The video has gotten more than 2 million views, ever since he posted it two days ago. He captioned the post, "A little something I've been working on whilst being a responsible quarantinor, quarantining. Thank you all for stopping by. See you soon. Love and respect."
In the video, he moves items on and off his desk, shuffles cards and smooths out cloth napkins, shows off some napkin folding skills before throwing them away. He then finally folds a piece of linen and proudly holds it up to his chest to reveal he has crafted a set of false breasts.
Even though the post is over two days old, fans are flocking to comment on the post. One commented, "Vailvalleycommunity Holy cow Mr Depp...1.8mm views and counting...your fans were just waiting for you to join social media!"
"We love you Johnny Stay safe," a fan wrote.
"Thank you for this masterpiece," another wrote.
In his first post on Instagram, Depp provided encouragement to his fans and provided hope, courage to people, who were looking for it in these desperate times. "Now is the time to open up a dialogue, as the threat of this invisible enemy has already caused immeasurable tragedies and enormous damage to people's lives. People are ill and without care," he added. "People are getting sick and fighting for breath. People are dying at frighteningly high rates. Many are unable to provide for their children and their families as a result of this hideous global pandemic."
He also hinted at his situation with Amber Heard and thanked fans for their overpowering support. Recently, #JusticeForJohnnyDepp began trending as fans began to unearth evidence to prove Heard physically abused him. They claimed to have uncovered further proof that the actor was attacked by Amber Heard in a video where he is seemingly sporting a bruise under his eye during a televised interview.
The clip, was uploaded on Twitter with the hashtag '#JusticeForJohnnyDepp', was of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star's guest appearance on 'The Graham Norton Show' in November 2015.
The couple had met in 2011 on the sets of their film 'The Rum Diary', before marrying in 2015. Their marriage broke down soon, with Heard citing domestic abuse in her divorce filings and obtaining a restraining order against the actor.
In December 2018, Heard wrote an op-ed for Washington Post about domestic violence. Even though she made no mention of Depp, this angered Depp, and he filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against her in March 2019, claiming that this article lost him a role in the ‘Pirates of Caribbean’ franchise and impacted his earnings. He also accused her of fabricating the abuse.
He wrote in the declaration, "I have denied Ms. Heard’s allegations vehemently since she first made them in May 2016 when she walked into court to obtain a temporary restraining order with painted-on bruises that witnesses and surveillance footage show she did not possess each day of the preceding week … I will continue to deny them for the rest of my life."
"I never abused Ms. Heard or any other woman," he continued. "She was the perpetrator, and I was the victim. While mixing prescription amphetamines and non-prescription drugs with alcohol, Ms. Heard committed innumerable acts of domestic violence against me, often in the presence of a third-party witness, which in some instances caused me serious bodily harm."
