Amber Heard changed friendly Johnny Depp into a 'withdrawn man' who spent his days sleeping, says manager
In her declaration submitted to the circuit court of Fairfax County, Virginia, as part of Johnny Depp's $50M defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, his estate manager recalled the drastic change in the personality of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor following his marriage.
Tara Roberts, who has been working for Depp since December 2008 as the estate manager of his Bahamian island property, said in her declaration that she remembered Depp to be an "outgoing, friendly and social" person prior to his marriage to Heard and it was a "family environment" when he visited the island that he owned.
"Throughout their relationship and marriage, there was a distinct change in Johnny, and the once social and animated person spent most days sleeping, became withdrawn, and our meals together dwindled to non-existent," Roberts said.
Furthermore, Roberts claimed that the staff rarely got a chance to be alone with Depp, as Amber Heard had the habit of butting into every conversation that was happening in the property.
"General socialization or just moments to discuss island issues stopped as she would randomly show up, very rarely were we allowed to be alone with him, as she would 'wiggle' her way into the discussions," she said.
MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) had previously reported that Roberts also mentioned in her declaration that Depp's children Lily-Rose Depp and John 'Jack' Christopher Depp III were present on the island in an instance back in 2015 when Heard allegedly attacked her then-husband physically, leaving him with a red, swelling gash on the bridge of his nose.
"Also present on the island during this late 2015 visit was Johnny's son, daughter, and his daughter's friend. Johnny's children did witness the aftermath of the night before, explained to them what had happened, and took them to their father," Roberts said.
Heard later apparently admitted to causing by throwing a "quart-sized can of lacquer thinner" at Depp's face, which caused the injury.
