Johnny Depp says he BEGGED Amber Heard for meds during opioid detox but she REFUSED
Johnny Depp claims Amber Heard denied him withdrawal medication as he tried to detox from narcotics, calling it "the lowest point of my life." Depp told the court that he possessed a private island in the Bahamas, where he went to detox from opiates in 2014. He claimed Heard insisted on coming along to the detox, with his doctor and another nurse, in place of Depp's sister, Christi Dembrowski, despite his reluctance. Depp said he was “uncomfortable” with this arrangement.
During his defamation trial against his ex-wife, Depp described the suffering he endured as "like nothing I've ever experienced before" as he sought to kick the drugs. The actor alleged that there would be times when his medical team were not available, such as early in the morning, and so Heard was given his medication. She was so strict about the exact times she had been told to give him the medication, she wouldn’t budge no matter how much pain from withdrawal he was in, The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor claimed.
He then told the court how he had once "begged" Heard to give him the detox pills in order to help him kick his drug habit. "The effects of the withdrawals were really coming on and I said to Ms Heard 'I'm gonna need the meds now.' And she looked at the clock and said, 'It's not time.' I said no, no, no, you don't understand, this is not about clocks and watches and things, I'm going into the s**t."

"I hate saying this, and I hate to have to admit this, but that was, I believe that was about the lowest point in my life, that was the lowest I had ever felt as a human being because I had to say, 'Please, please, may I have the meds? Because it's really kicking in.' And she was adamant, 'No, it's not time, it's not time,'" Depp stated.
Depp went on to say that he had rolled off a couch and was sitting on the floor "crying, tears streaming down my face, begging another human being to please, give me the meds that will take this away and she would not, she was adamant 'Nope it's not time, 4 o'clock.'"
Depp said that he then took a scalding hot shower as a way of 'tricking' his body into dealing with the pain of that rather than his body suffering withdrawal symptoms.
Depp went on to say that he told his doctors that Heard had refused to give him the detox meds he required when he needed them. "I told them I don't think it's going to work anymore, that we need to leave the island. She can't be with me when I'm going through the rest of this detoxification," Depp said.
