'John Wick 5' with Keanu Reeves to be shot just after 'John Wick 4', fans want Goran Višnjić, Charlize Theron

Lionsgate announced 'John Wick 5' with Keanu Reeves with a plan to shoot the film back to back with 'John Wick 4' and fans are super excited

'John Wick 5' was announced by makers Lionsgate on Thursday and this has left fans super excited as they get to meet Mr. Wick not just once, but twice more. Yes, the release of 'John Wick 4' has been pushed to 2022, however, what has made fans really happy is the fact that 'John Wick 5' will be headed to screens right after 'John Wick 4'. 

One fan shared on Twitter, "Damn excited for this, yeah I know #JohnWick started it all but I liked JW2 & loved JW3 much more,the Series is getting bigger & better,And ‘Here We Go’ #JohnWick5." Another shared, "The #JohnWick franchise may have seemed like a new #JasonBourne, but the announcement of a fifth film makes it seem more like #MissionImpossible. Quality hasn't been sacrificed with each new 'John Wick', so the next two films could be fantastic.

Speaking about casting for the fifth movie while the fourth is still under production might seem unreasonable, but who can stop fans from hoping. So here's a fan rooting for an exciting addition to the cast. This fan shared, "Guys!!! Also, please let them cast #GoranVišnjić in one of these films. I. Would. Die. #JohnWick #JohnWick4 #JohnWick5 #KeanuReeves." Another casting request was for Charlize Theron. A fan wrote, "Guest spot by Charlize Theron PLEASE #JohnWick5."

Some fans hope that the 'John Wick' series would pave the way for other popular film franchises to return like say 'Matrix'. One fan wrote, "If #johnwick5 is confirmed to being filmed back to back, can there be a #matrix5 as well! Thanks." One fan wrote, "John Wick 5 is happening, 4 isn't even out yet. This is f**king incredible. I love this so much, can't wait. #JohnWick5 here we come (but 4 first)."

There has been speculation that the 'John Wick' series would come to an end and one of the fans hopes that this is true. Here's why! He shared, "This is great news. Shows confidence that Chapter 4 is good. However, it would also be great if 5 is confirmed as the final chapter so they can build to the epic ending this character deserves."

Lionsgate also announced a 'Dirty Dancing' sequel and the release of 'Antebellum', the Janelle Monae starrer, on VOD.
