Fans gush over pic of John Travolta with Tommy Lee, actor thanks rocker for 'greatest night'
On Saturday, July 2, Tommy Lee, 59, and his band Motley Crue received love from John Travolta. The 68-year-old actor went to their concert in Jacksonville, Florida, and uploaded a photo and a video on Instagram that showed him having a great time at the concert. The photo showed him wearing a denim jacket and grinning as he hugged Tommy.
John captioned the post, “Tommy, thank you for the greatest night in Rock ‘n’ Roll. Mötley Crüe at its best. Love you tons. – JT.” The post garnered close to 50,000 likes within a few hours of sharing and followers immediately sent messages of support. One person wrote in the comment section, “Nice. John…you should’ve ran out on stage and tripped out the whole audience. Actually…you should’ve gone out and did the Pulp Fiction dance…a night to remember.” “How cool is that 🔥 so much talent right there 👍,” another added.

Someone wrote, “Great to see you happy.” “So awesome to see JT and Tommy Lee! I love you guys!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️” yet another person remarked. Earlier in the video clip, he was standing side stage and cheering on the band as they performed. As he stood watching the performance backstage, John shared the video clip with his 3.9 million followers.
Meanwhile, the two have previously exchanged content on social media. In November, Lee shared a TikTok text chat with the actor as they bonded over baking.
Prior to his most recent post on the Motley Crue event, John gained attention for uploading adorable pictures of his children, Ella, 22, and Benjamin, 11, on Father's Day last month. The family smiled and posed for the camera as if they were aboard a little plane. He wrote in the caption for the post, “It’s a privilege to be a father. I love you, my babies. Happy Father’s Day to everyone.” In the wake of the tragic passing of his wife Kelly Preston from breast cancer in 2020, John has been raising his children alone. On his social media account, he frequently posts significant events with his children, such as holidays and birthdays.
In April, he shared a video of them taking high tea in London, England in honor of Ella's 22nd birthday. In the adorable video, they were both seated at a table covered in what appeared to be delectable pastries, toasting each other, sipping tea, and grinning at the camera. John captioned the video, “Happy birthday my dearest Ella! I love you so much. We’re here in England having afternoon tea to celebrate and I’m also here to shoot a short film called, ‘The Shepherd’ based on a book by Frederick Forsyth that I’ve always loved.”
