Manhunt launched for businessman who allegedly stabbed wife and doused teen daughter in fuel before fleeing
Authorities are currently on the lookout for a businessman after his wife was found stabbed and his 15-year-old daughter doused in fuel at their £500,000 countryside home. Investigators are still trying to locate John Cowley in connection with both shocking incidents that took place in the village of Mawdsley, close to Ormskirk, West Lancashire. The 63-year-old Cowley was described as a white male, 5ft 8in tall with grey hair. He was last spotted wearing a light blue polo shirt and dark blue jeans. Authorities were called to the scene by paramedics on October 10 at around 5:45 pm after they were informed that Alison Cowley had been stabbed and was being treated for her injuries.
The Daily Mail reported that the 50-year-old mother suffered from several stab wounds to her abdomen area and was taken to a nearby hospital after being airlifted out of the area.
It is reported that she is still in a serious condition but is now stable. Medical staff have said that her injuries are not life-threatening.
