'Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer' had three eliminations in the two-hour premiere. Caroline Campbell, Monica Aksamit and Brookell were the three women who had to leave Lakeshore Manor. In a way, each of the three women actually had issues with Steven McBee more so than Kurt Sowers.

With this, the show now has 15 women in contention for the mens' hearts. Caroline was the first contestant asked to leave after her connection to Steven was revealed and it meant she knew he was the millionaire. This would have hampered with the concept of the show and that made for a first-round exit.

Why were Monica Aksamit and Brookell eliminated?

Both the ladies were part of the country-style party with Steven and seemed to have compatibility issues. Monica's elimination in a way was her own doing when she interrupted Steven and Carolyn Moore talking about what would make the latter a very desirable contestant to either of the guys. This didn't go down too well with Steven and that was one of the reasons why she was booted out right at the end of the premiere.

Brookel was the other contestant who had to make her way back after a relatively short stay Lakeshore Manor. In her brief conversation with Steven, she felt that he would have to leave the countryside and live with her in the city if the relationship indeed worked out. This was a bit of a red flag for the millionaire who felt that he would never be able to leave the comfort of his home to the big city. This meant there was another compatibility issue. Surprisingly, Kurt seemed to have had the same thoughts about both these women.

While Katy and Suzan were in the danger zone as well, they had a last-minute reprieve and were given another shot to find love. Will they? Only time will tell.

'Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer' airs Wednesdays 8/7c on Fox.
