Joe Jonas to recreate his Vegas wedding with Sophie Turner for first anniversary as James Corden offers tips
In less than a week, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner will be completing a year of their marriage. Although they held their second wedding in June 2019 in France, they got married on May 1, 2019, in Las Vegas for the first time.
The ‘Sucker’ singer who appeared on tonight’s episode of ‘The Late Late Night Show with James Corden’ from his new house which he moved into just before the lockdown, discussed his plans for his and Sophie’s upcoming first wedding anniversary. When Corden asked what are his plans, Jonas said he and Sophie were one of those couples who celebrated on nearly every occasion with each other. However, he said, “we aren’t the nauseating couple anymore”, talking about celebrating only their wedding anniversary once a year.
Given the current situation, it would be hard for Jonas to surprise his lady or plan anything extravagant. Therefore, he told Corden he’s simply planning on their Las Vegas wedding, which was pretty low key with only a handful of guests.
Meanwhile, a thrilled Corden asked him if he could bring the Elvis personator who officiated his and Sophie’s wedding. Much-impressed with the idea, Jonas said he would consider that and even asked for more tips. Jonas also spoke in detail about what he’s been up to in the lockdown and it includes plenty of legos with Sophie, who he thinks is the talented one. So far, they have made ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Lord of the Rings’, Batmobile’ ‘and ‘Stranger Things’ using the legos.
The singer revealed yet another interesting detail about him and Sophie’s dating life. Jonas said that Sophie had told him she would date him only if he watched all the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, which he did, of course, and even became a fan of the franchise.
Meanwhile, he asked Sophie to watch his favorite ‘The Lord of the Rings’. The couple is now spending time in lockdown together binge-watching the film and making legos based on them. Jonas is using the rest of the time to learn Italian with the help of his online tutor. He jokes how he’s only learning the language to have a few words up his sleeve always and come across ‘chic’ when he goes to restaurants and other places.
'The Late Late Show with James Corden' airs on all the weekdays on CBS. You can also watch his home edition episodes on the official James Corden's official channel on Youtube.
