The new administration in the United States led by Joe Biden is up and running, and parallelly, there is also a report doing the rounds stating the new president is going through a cognitive decline. Joe Hoft of The Gateway Pundit reckons Biden's cognitive abilities are declining following an expert's thoughts on the matter. Previously, there have been multiple reports talking about the issue.

The report claims "Biden’s cognitive abilities have decreased 50%." Hoft uses a tweet that was posted on July 13, 2020, where Biden while talking to the press asks the reporters to come in from the rain. The clip sees them all look at each other as the address was happening indoors. The clip saw roughly about 23.2K likes with 13.7K people tweeting their opinions on the video.

The report further goes on to say that an expert used AI to determine whether Biden was affected by the loss of cognitive abilities. The expert reportedly examined the following factors before zeroing in on the decision — memory recall, language skills, planning, problem-solving and decision-making, place time and orientation, visual perception and engagement, mood and behavior, and speech. Please note that MEAWW cannot independently verify and does not support the claims made on the Internet.

Although his fitness report says otherwise. According to WebMD, Biden, at the time of the physical examination was 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighed 178 pounds, and had a blood pressure of 128/84. The site also added that he has "a 79% chance of living through a first term and a 70% chance of surviving through a second term." Richard Dupee, MD, chief of geriatrics at Tufts Medical Center, reckoned that there would be a risk of cognitive decline that would come with age.

An individual over 65 has chances of Alzheimer’s disease or vascular dementia. Dupee attributed smoking, obesity, lack of exercise and diabetes as the factors that could contribute to the decline. “If there were lifestyle issues that would increase the risk of vascular dementia for him, we'd know that,” Dupee explained. "That doesn't seem to be the case."

Netizens voiced out their opinion on the matter with some agreeing he had a cognitive decline. "Joe Biden is already being heavily managed due to his significant cognitive decline. He will go down as the president with the least press availability of any president in modern history," read one of the tweets. Another said: "If you want to say Lin Wood has cognitive decline then you must also say that about your new president. Lin Wood appears a thousand times more mentally sound than Joe Biden. When you're a hypocrite, your views are skewed to fit your personal agenda which hurts your credibility."

Previously, Mike McCormick, who worked as a White House stenographer for 15 years and with Biden from 2011-17, told the Washington Free Beacon that he (Biden) had lost a step. "He doesn’t seem to have the same mental acuity as he did four years ago," McCormick said. Biden’s cognitive abilities came under the scanner during the 2020 election. In a series of speaking appearances, the 77-year-old appeared to lose his train of thought, while also struggling to finish his sentence.
