Biden admin fired Pentagon officials who were on maternity and paternity leave, claims Trump loyalist Kash Patel
Kash Patel, the once highest-ranking Indian-American in the Pentagon and the former Chief of Staff to the Acting US Defence Secretary, complained on live television about President Joe Biden's new administration claiming that the call for unity is "garbage".
Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, Rep Devin Nunes was joined by his former aide Kash Patel, both of whom basically rubbished the basis of Joe Biden's new government — "unity".
When speaking on the morning show, Nunes and Patel were asked about the double standards in the US justice system today. This came after former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith was sentenced to probation for falsifying documents that led to the Trump Spygate scandal.
During their discussion, Patel also let Bartiromo in on a piece of information that now comes as shocking for Trump's followers. The Biden administration is reportedly firing Trump officials in the Pentagon who are out on maternity and paternity leave. "Their call for unity is a joke," Patel told Maria. He added that Biden's administration makes it clear that there is "one set of rules for them and there is a different set of rules for us."
Patel said, "I'll give you a stark example of what struck me on my way out of the Pentagon. They terminated my employees, who were on paternity and maternity leave because they were appointees for President Trump. If we did that, that would be a travesty of justice and there would be an internal investigation for months, if not years to come."
"How can you terminate the employment of someone who has taken maternity or paternity leave to take care of their newborn?" he said, adding, "It is simply outrageous conduct and this call for unity is garbage."
Patel's comments soon sparked a debate on social media. "BREAKING: Kash Patel Interview w/ @MariaBartiromo. The Biden administration terminated his employees, including those who were on MATERNITY & PATERNITY leave, b/c they were appointees by President Trump. 'This is completely outrageous conduct and this call for unity is garbage'," one user shared.

It also brought several Trump supporters together. "Learn from it and the next time Rs win, don’t feel shy cleaning the house. Welcome to Politics 101," one tweeted. "Exactly! One of Trump’s few mistakes! Should have cleaned house, from the top down, in all departments!" another concurred. "Biden is doing exactly what Trump should have done," another added.

"Elections have consequences...even if they are fishy, unbelievable, once in a blue moon, there is no possible way, breaking every norm election. Biden, the left and all of the corrupt politicians in DC say unity but we know that they are out for blood. They are to cleanse," one wrote about Biden's new government.

At the same time, there are some who think Patel is being too dramatic. "Mr Patel likely already knows a new administration is entitled to dismiss and/or appoint any person(s) they want. Instead of crying to FOX news he and his crew should access some of that personal responsibility conservatives are always talking about and get on with their lives," another user said.

But for some others, it is hardly a political issue, calling to attention how workplaces function. "Happens all the time to normal people. When the management changes or business is sold they clean the house. Make sure all employees quit promptly this needs to change fundamentally."
