Job Uriah Taylor: California Man attacked Black man and woman with metal pipe while hurling racial slurs
SANTA MONICA, CALIFRONIA: A man is charged with attempted murder and a hate crime after police claim he hit a Black man and a Black woman with a metal pipe following an alleged attempt to harm another Black man who was dog-walking. When a fire department personnel saw the assault and stopped him, that attack was stopped.
According to a news release from the Santa Monica Police Department on Friday, Job Uriah Taylor was detained in connection with the attacks on March 3, 2023 in Santa Monica, California. One victim was brought to the hospital and later released. The other person had their head injury addressed. The dog-walking man was unharmed.

"Taylor yelled several racial slurs at the victim"
Police said, "Taylor yelled several racial slurs at the victim. Police also claimed that after the initial assault, the suspect fled on a bicycle and was nowhere to be found. The cops immediately received a call regarding a stabbing on a railway platform. Using the same pipe he used in the first attack, Taylor allegedly struck a Black man and a lady there, according to police, as reported by Law & Crime.
He repeatedly struck them in the head while shouting racist epithets, according to the police. He was detained and charged with two counts of attempted murder, one crime of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of assault with force likely to cause serious bodily harm, according to the authorities. He is also charged with hate crimes, according to officials.
"Hate crimes have no place in Santa Monica"
Police said, "It is the mission of the Santa Monica Police Department to safeguard the rights of all individuals, irrespective of their disability, gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and/or association with a person or group with one or more of these perceived characteristics." The authorities further added, "Hate crimes have no place in Santa Monica," as reported by PATCH.
In 2022, Santa Monica recently recorded a number of hate crimes. In one, a suspect chased victims down a pier ramp while shouting anti-Semitic epithets. In another, the suspect insulted the victim's race as an Arab and hurled a water bottle at him, hitting the man in the back. Authorities reported another incident in which a suspect hit a victim with an umbrella and splashed urine at them while hurling racist epithets at them, as per reports.
