Jimmy Kimmel says Donald Trump needs 'shock collar' to control himself after ex-POTUS violates gag order
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Donald Trump recently responded to criticism from former Attorney General Bill Barr, breaching the judge's gag order that restricted him from going after court personnel, staff, and witnesses.
Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, on October 29, Trump suggested that Barr's remarks were motivated by a desire to "get even" for the tough treatment he received during their time together in office.
Subsequently, during the latest installment of his show, Jimmy Kimmel took the opportunity to take a jab at Trump.
Jimmy Kimmel says Trump 'doesn't need a gag order' but a 'shock collar'
Jimmy Kimmel began by saying, "Trump had a lot to say this weekend. Despite the fact that a federal judge yesterday reinstated the gag order that prevents him from going after court personnel, the special counsel, or potential witnesses in the January 6th case against him. Trump waited a full 75 minutes before violating that gag order."
He continued, "He lashed out at a potential witness as former Attorney General Bill Barr in response to Barr saying 'Trump's verbal skills are limited'."
"Trump didn't like that so he broke out the old thesaurus said....," stated Kimmel before sharing Trump's Truth Social post.
As per The Hill, Bill Barr, who resigned from his position as Attorney General in late 2020 following Trump's refusal to concede the election, publicly criticized the former president's "verbal skills" during an event at the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics.
Kimmel concluded, "At this point, he doesn't need a gag order so much as he needs a shock collar to contain himself," before ending the segment.
