Jill Biden called 'badass' after she sports $700 knee-high election-themed boots with 'vote' written on them

Joe Biden's wife, Jill Biden was seen joining him for voting at Delaware in Wilmington, on Monday, September 14, but what caught the attention of most was her choice of footwear and specifically, the message displayed on them. Jill sported a pair of over the knee boots estimated to cost $695 along with the word 'VOTE' written in silver down the sides. The boots had been designed by Stuart Weitzman's 50/50 Vote boots, Daily Mail reports.

Her fashion choices sat very well with social media users who took to the comments section to praise her for the same. One such user had written, "Love them! If I had reasons to leave my house perhaps I could justify needing them... also I’m 5’2” and they’d be up to my thighs but they’re fabulous on @DrBiden." The couple was seen leaving the New Castle Board of Elections in Wilmington after voting early during the state's primary election. Jill chose to match the boots to a classic black blazer with a purple sheath dress. She finished off her look with a black face mask.

Another social media user added, "Just when I thought I could not love @DrBiden more... She wears these boots AND. THIS. DRESS. It sings unity. Red & blue make purple...she’s incredible." One tweeted calling her the 'future first lady' and yet another commented: "'These boots are made for voting!' A great message from Dr. Jill Biden! #VoteBidenHarris2020."
The boots are said to be part of a collaboration between the designer Weitzman and I Am A Voter, which is a public awareness campaign promoting voting and civic engagement. The over the knee boots are limited edition with only a 100 pairs being made. 100% of the net profits will be donated to the organization. Well, looks like the Internet is really loving her fashion choices as one tweeted: "Because @DrBiden is a badass!"

Her husband was also seen wearing a face mask along with his outfit. He was seen in a navy blue blazer, a light blue button-down shirt, and a pair of blue pants.

Almost three weeks ago, actress Selma Blair had been sharing photos of herself sporting the same 'VOTE' boots while urging her fans and followers across social media to vote during the upcoming election. She had taken to Instagram to share the image along with the caption, "Voting in style. But just VOTE. The iconic 50/50 boot from @stuartweitzman in collaboration with @iamavoter. It’s about that time..." She too received a lot of praise from her fans and followers who took to commenting on the picture. One such user had written, "Omg this shot, so happy to see you moving forward with all these life challenges. Sending love." Another had commented saying, "The boots are good. Hope to see more celebs rocking them this autumn." Yet another added, "Gaww I love ya! The awesomeness you execute is pure power and beyond inspiring!!!"
Recently, former First Lady Michelle Obama had been seen wearing a 'VOTE' necklace while speaking at the Democratic National Convention. She had urged the country to 'vote like we did in 2008 and 2012'.
