Jessica Alba's 'Trigger Warning' gets a response from Netflix viewers, it's just not one they expected

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Due to its formulaic plot, Netflix's most recent action-thriller, 'Trigger Warning', seems to have disappointed viewers despite being touted as a guaranteed smash.

The film, directed by Mouly Surya, follows the story of Parker (Jessica Alba), a brilliant special forces commando who returns to her hometown when her father Harry (Alejandro De Hoyos) dies under unexplained circumstances.

Parker embarks on a mission to find the truth about her father's tragic death, and in doing so, she unintentionally becomes a target for a local gang.

Despite its fascinating concept and being stylized as a female 'John Wick', the film failed to connect with fans. 

Fans express their disappointment with the 'Trigger Warning'

As soon as 'Trigger Warning' debuted on the streaming platform, a flood of comments rushed in on X, with many expressing dissatisfaction with the film.

Sharing the same opinion an X user wrote, "Trigger warning is so bad i want netflix to give me my money back for this month."

Bashing the acting chops in the movie, an X user stated, "Man, #TriggerWarning with @jessicaalba is beyond bad. Way too stereotypical with over the top bad acting."

"Oh, this movie is trash." said an upset fan.

Another said, "It’s hard to make a good movie, but you almost have to try to make a movie as bad as ‘Trigger Warning’. Maybe because it’s on Netflix they thought people wouldn’t watch the whole thing, but there are so many moments that make no sense if you’re *looking at the f*****g screen."

A fan expressed their disappointment and stated, "Trigger Warning on Netflix. 0/5. Turned it off 15 minutes in. I’m actually embarrassed for Jessica Alba. She must need money or something… that was just terrible."

Fans are in awe of Jessica Alba's screen presence in 'Trigger Warning'

Although the film failed to impress the internet, admirers flocked to express their admiration for Alba's charming screen presence, with many praising her.

A fan criticized the film but praised Alba, saying, "I love me some Jessica Alba but that Trigger Warning movie was trash."

While another added, "Watching “Trigger Warning” on Netflix for no other reason than @jessicaalba."

"It's a shame Trigger Warning wasn't a better movie for Jessica Alba's return to acting. She looked pretty though," said another admirer.

A fan also applauded Alba's action scenes in the film and commented, "Watched Trigger Warning last night and man, some real strong fight choreography with the work clearly being put in by Jessica Alba. Would love to see her continue down the low budget action road for a bit. She’s got a ton of presence."
