NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Jesse Watters reported that WWE star and Hollywood actor, Dwayne Johnson aka ‘The Rock’ was recently in Washington DC for a tight-lipped visit.

During his visit, Johnson was asked by a reporter at Capitol Hill whether he was “running for President.”

Watters picked up on the question and started a segment that pitted a hypothetical Johnson administration against current President Joe Biden’s administration, all while discussing the possibility of what would happen if The Rock decides to run for president.

“What’s the difference between a Dwayne Johnson administration and a Joe Biden administration? People are excited about a Johnson administration,” Watters said.

Speaking about The Rock’s allegiances to political parties, Watters claimed, “The Rock has said both parties approached him last year and asked him whether he would consider running for President.”

Watters said that it “made sense” for The Rock since he has “friends on both sides of the political spectrum.”

The Fox News host played a clip of The Rock interacting with Joe Rogan on his podcast where the WWE star admitted that he had “friends on both sides of the political spectrum” but stated that his “friends are not Biden supporters but loyal to the Democratic Party.”

Watters later reported that Donald Trump is currently beating Biden in “eight out of the ten national polls.”

He later invited comedian Adam Corolla on the show and asked, “Whether you would ever vote for President Dwayne Johnson.”

Corolla replied, “No, for a couple of reasons. One is he’s worried about people liking him...I don’t want that in any politician...I would rather have someone who could make the tough decisions.”

However, later Corolla admitted that it would be “fun” to have The Rock as the President.

“It would be fun to get The Rock in there because there would never be a greater disparity physically between an incoming President and an outgoing President.”

While talking about The Rock’s and Biden’s physique, Corolla joked, “You got one guy squat 800 pounds and you got one guy who can’t even make it up the stairs of Air Force One. There would never be that big of a chasm."

Internet reacts

After Watters reported on Johnson’s latest visit to Washington DC and the question asked by the reporter at Capitol Hill, many flocked to social media to express their sincere yet harsh opinions.

One tweeted, “The Rock turned into the Pebble,” while a second said, “If so, he is having a Newsom nightmare.”

A third added, “I can see either one of his catchphrases being used if he chooses to run for office. If you smell what the Rock is cookin!", or "Just bring it!”

Another suggested, “Maybe he should try a career in music,” while a fifth stated, “A rock has more sense than Johnson.”

“Ya, I would not vote for him ever. Wow this feels like the movie Idiocracy”, said another user.
