Jesse Watters claims poll showing Joe Biden falling behind Donald Trump in popularity is Jeff Bezos' revenge
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Another poll for the 2024 Presidential Election has caused much hubbub in the political discourse of America.
This particular poll by the Washington Post, showed a major drop in approval ratings for the Joe Biden, adding to the woes of the Democrats.
'The Five' host Jesse Watters made claims on the Fox News show that the Washington Post seems to be taking an anti-Biden turn because of its owner, Jeff Bezos.
The host shared that the poll could be Bezos' way of getting back to the Biden administration for suing Amazon under the anti-trust laws.
Jesse Watters calls WaPo poll Jeff Bezos' revenge plot against Joe Biden
Democrat supporters have expressed their disapproval of President Biden's term in a new poll conducted by The Washington Post along with ABC News.
The poll shows Biden falling behind with 42 per cent voter support, while Trump has taken the lead with a 51 per cent majority.
Jesse Watters from Fox News regarded the Democrat party's need to have more options besides Biden for the 2024 Election by suggesting that "this was a message from Bezos."
The Washington Post is owned by Amazon giant Jeff Bezos and has turned against the POTUS, according to Watters, based on published articles suggesting as much.
The news host mentioned one particular opinion piece by David Ignatius titled "President Biden should not run again in 2024."
"This is Bezos because he's about to get smacked with an anti-trust lawsuit," Watters said, "Biden is going after his monopoly and that's about to be dropped I think this week.
Biden sided with the people [Amazon workers] that were trying to unionize."
Watters also claimed that inflation was "killing" Amazon with the rising gas prices.
Amazon sued for anti-trust laws in 2020
The lawsuit mentioned by Watters was made against Amazon back in 2020 when a huge number of people from all over the country questioned Amazon's functioning.
The lawsuit was in relation to the way the digital marketplace prices its products, which, according to the company's policy, does not allow sellers to offer their products at a lower price elsewhere.
The Federal Trade Commission is set to file the lawsuit soon, taking a major step against the monopoly of major digital companies.
