NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Jesse Watters became the butt of many jokes after he called President Joe Biden "unbecoming" for drinking from a straw.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the 45-year-old anchor was talking about the Biden family’s traditional trip to Nantucket on his primetime show when he explained how the President called their correspondent “stupid”.

“Joe Biden's Thanksgiving trip to Nantucket, he power plunged at a little Black Friday shopping with Hunter, and he called one of our correspondents stupid, and we're willing to look past that little outburst,” he said.

Watters can continue by expressing his views on the moment when the POTUS used a straw to enjoy his drink. “But some things we just can't let slide. Joe Biden uses a straw,” he said.

“Now, if you've seen me on the Five or on prime time, you know. I recommend that all men refrain from using straws. It's unbecoming the way a man's lips purse,” Watters said while taking a dig at Biden.

“The size of the straw is just too dainty the way your fingers clasp on it. No come on straws are for women and little kids,” the primetime host continued.

Internet reacts to Jesse Watters’ remarks over Biden's straw use

Jesse Watters’ remarks have garnered immense social media attention, with many users trolling him by sharing images showing former president Donald Trump and other GOP leaders using a straw.

“This is what happens when a network settles a defamation suit for three-quarters of a billion dollars and can’t fill a slow news day with made-up stories,” one user wrote alongside an image of Watters eating with a fork.

“Would he rather he ask for a sippy cup? It’s no longer manly to drink from a straw? Fox News this can’t be real,” the second user slammed.

“Lmao good luck getting any milkshake from a straw without pursing one’s lips,” the third user joked, while another user wrote, “They’re seriously critical of how Biden drinks? Did they see Tiny Hands Trump with the water bottles?! 🤦‍♀️”

“Did he want him to chuck the lid and straw and drink it like he was getting waterboarded?” one user asserted.

“Well, it's equally unbecoming having to use two hands to drink water, so..” another user wrote with a video of Trump drinking from a glass.

Jesse Watters bashes Kamala Harris

At one point in the show, Watters bashed Vice President Kamala Harris for her answer to a question where she reportedly called every democrat mayor a "liar".

“The White House taking Kamala Harris out of hibernation. They yanked her away from her college tour after the Hamas attack. I mean, you can't have Kamala out there talking to a bunch of college kids during the war," Watters said.

“No way she's going to say the right thing. But after all that prep time and rest, the VP still wasn't ready for the most obvious question about migrants of all time,” the anchor said.

He then cut to a video of Harris and Andrew Ross Sorkin speaking at the DealBook Summit, in which the Vice President refuted claims that the government is not helping cities swamped by unauthorized immigrants.

“First of all, I would say it’s no surprise to anyone here that our immigration system is broken. It is. And one could talk about what happened over the previous four years before we came, in terms of what may have been an intent to break our immigration system,” Harris said.

“But it needs to be repaired, and we are working on that in a way that we establish a — a safe and humane and orderly immigration system at the border. But ultimately — and the business leaders here know this — we need to facilitate legal and lawful immigration in the United States to the benefit of not only many issues but our economy,” Harris was seen saying in the video.

Following the video, Watters stated, “That's right. Kamala just called every Democrat mayor a liar. I wonder what the next question will be. It's got to be something about Joe's age, and she has to have a better answer this time. Tell me she has a better answer.”
