Turns out, Sykes isn't exactly single and fans of the show had a lot to say about Tammy's new relationship

There's someone out there for everyone – and you never know when you might just find love. The Slaton sisters from '1000-lb Sisters' have always been close, but now, with Amy's baby on the way, the question remains – will Tammy find herself alone? Turns out, that won't be the case, seeing that Tammy has been seeing someone for a while now.

Tammy met her boyfriend, Jerry Skyes, while on a group chat for BBWs. As she explained it, while BBW stands for 'Big Beautiful Woman', she identifies as an 'SSBBW', a 'Super Sized Big Beautiful Woman'. The couple hadn't met before, seeing that Jerry stays in Winston-Salem, which is an 8-hour drive from Kentucky. Amy was rightfully worried about her sister, while they'd all heard about Jerry, none of them had actually met him. But that changed soon enough, seeing that he actually did show up. The couple hugged and made small talk, before Amy showed up, ready to meet her sister's new man.

Once Amy got a chance to meet her sister's boyfriend, she didn't miss an opportunity to start grilling him instantly. Turns out, not only does he have 6 children, but at 45, he's also a grandfather of 5 children. While Tammy mentioned that they have spoken about marriage, what didn't sit well with fans was the fact that he is already married.

"Jerry there for a check and TV. Tammy needs to focus on living aka staying alive aka her weight. If he's into BBW he's not going to help her. #1000lbSisters" tweeted a fan. "I sure hope Jerry got divorced, because if not he bold not to mention wrong af being on TV with Tammy. Whew child the audacity if he ain’t. #1000lbSisters #tammyandamy #tlc" said another. "Jerry, you need to be home with your wife. #1000lbSisters," agreed another.

"Tammy, girl, Jerry's not marrying you any time soon... He has a whole WIFE...and issues...lots of issues! #1000lbSisters" tweeted a fan, complete with receipts and all. "What's Jerry telling his wife he's doing??? #1000lbSisters" mentioned another, and we're wondering the same thing. 

Who is Jerry Sykes' ex-wife?

Jerry's wife, Kia Russell-Rucker Sykes, is on social media, although her last photo with Jerry dates back to 2017. Her Facebook information lists her as a stay-at-home mom and mentions that she's divorced. 

Fans seemed clearly concerned that his relationship might distract Tammy from her weight loss goals. But if anything, this episode had half of Twitter revaluating their own lives. "Tammy can't see her vajayjay but got a man that'll drive hours to see her. Granted Jerry is trash,but this b***h can't even get a damn text back & he lives 8 houses down. #1000lbSisters" tweeted a fan. "I need someone to call me "baby girl" #1000lbSisters" chimed another. "Jerry drove 8 hours plus for Tammy and some of y’all can’t get a man to go to the corner store for you. SMH #1000LbSisters" tweeted another, weighing in. Seeing that we're days away from Valentine's Day, fans kind of want what Tammy has.

Seeing that Tammy has to lose far more weight than she initially was supposed to, we can only hope she isn't going to let this relationship sidetrack her from her weight loss journey.
