'Hope the champ loses tonight': 'Jeopardy!' fans find contestant David Bederman annoying for his head-tilting habit

While it seems like a perfectly normal gesture, Bederman's repeated head-tilting seems to have put off viewers who want him off the show

CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'Jeopardy!' fans have once again found a target for their complaints and it is none other than the current returning champ, David Bederman. He has been victorious in the last two episodes and is looking forward to his third one, hoping to make even more prize money than what he already has made.

The fans seem to have a serious issue with the contestant's habit of tilting his head frequently. Many took to Twitter to share their frustrations about his habit and some even went on to say that they didn't want Bederman to even continue as a champ.

'Jeopardy!' contestant David Bederman's head-tilting habit

It seems to be a casual physical reflex for Bederman when he tilts his head to the left whenever he gets the correct answer, which he has done quite a number of times. The contestant was able to make $28,401 on his first appearance on 'Jeopardy!', an exciting episode against the fan-favorite Daniel Moore. He managed to win again this time and was able to add another $24,401, making his final winnings a whopping $52,802.

In the many answers he has been able to correctly answer, Bederman has not once missed tilting his head with a slight jerk to the side, as if to acknowledge his win like one does with a nod. While it seems like a perfectly normal gesture, the idiosyncratic tic seems to have put off viewers.

Fans unhappy with David Bederman's 'petty' wagers

Fans didn't forget to leave their impressions of Bederman on Twitter. One of them mentioned the head tilt in a tweet that said, "David does the same head tilt and hand gesture after each correct response like he can't believe he got it right. Every single time." Others tried to be polite with their annoyance as one said, "Look I’m sure David’s a great guy. But that head nod and hand move has gotta stop." Some even dreaded that it was not a one-time thing and was a regular habit of Bederman's as one fan tweeted, "I guess David is sticking with the head tilt."

Some fans even think Bederman shouldn't be a champ for long. A fan went on to say, "I hope the champ loses tonight. He was petty for betting just enough to win by $1 yesterday. Like why not just win for the money's sake? Not for pettiness." They seem to be disappointed with the loss of Moore in the last episode. "NOT another night of David! Ugh!" another fan said. One fan also targetted the showrunners saying, "has been a while since we have had an annoying contestant..i guess the powers that be thought it was time to bug the s*** out the viewers."
