SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: On the December 21 episode of 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,' Heather Gay disclosed additional information about who caused her black eye. However, Jen Shah turned to Twitter shortly after the episode aired to call out Whitney Rose, who blamed her for the unfortunate incident. Despite the fact that Whitney has yet to respond to Jen's claims, Lisa Barlow joined the chat and slammed Jen for inciting hatred towards Whitney. Fans also voiced their opinions on who should be held accountable for the incident.

Since the season three trailer for the Bravo series premiered earlier this year, viewers have been left with one unanswered question: who or what caused Heather Gay a black eye? The reality actress revealed more about what transpired on the show's December 21 episode, as well as why she is withholding information for the time being. "I didn't say I don't remember how it happened," she confessed. "I just said I'm not talking about it. It's first rule about fight club."

Heather argues throughout the episode that she has no recollection of the previous night's events. Following their Marilyn Monroe-themed dinner and club outing, many cast members went by Heather's hotel room for some late-night partying, as seen by security camera footage. "I don't wanna get anyone in trouble," she tells co-star Jen Shah the next morning. When the gang gathers in San Diego for the day, Heather indicates that certain cast members may know more than we think, adding, "I think we all know what happened. I just think we don't wanna talk about it."

Lisa Barlow believes someone punched her in the face, to which Heather says, "Well, maybe somebody did, and they don't wanna talk about it." But, because she doesn't want her eye to spoil their day, the Bravo actress brushes the subject aside. Whitney Rose states she believes Jen is the perpetrator while rollerblading with Lisa and the show's friend-of-the-show Danna Bui-Negrete, and that Heather is keeping her guilt hidden to avoid jeopardizing her continuing legal troubles. The season was shot before Jen pled guilty to federal fraud on July 11.

Soon after the episode aired, Jen took to Twitter calling out Whitney for throwing accusations at her. She wrote while tagging her co-star, "Hey @whitneywildrose
you blaming me for heathers black eye tonite was so very 1/6/21 of you. Guess you can’t hide that Insurrection spirit for long!#marywasright."

Lisa soon commented on the post, "Oh are you talking about YOUR bestie? Look at you trying to incite hate for @whitneywildrose You could have been so amazing if you weren’t such a flip flop / liar. What did Heather cal you…… oh yes toxic. Your tantrums are so 2021. Tell your bestie hi." The Twitter banter between the duo soon resulted in Jen getting blocked by Lisa. Her last tweet to Lisa read, "Lisa…unblock me so we can go. Bcuz you tweetin but having me blocked is like saying your the richest bitch but crowd funding for your front row jazz tickets. #marywasright."

Seeing Jen getting into a social media fight, fans were quick to call her out too. One person wrote, "whatever happened to you claiming you needed to spend all your focus and time on family just five days ago? guess that was about as true as you claiming you were innocent all season long." Another person tweeted under the thread, "Girl, just own it." Some concerned fans also wrote, "jen you're less than 3 weeks away from being sentenced go be with your family girl." One fan while believing Whitney's claims also wrote, "Oh girl, you just keep embarrassing yourself. There is nothing Whitney has done that comes even close to your unlawful crimes. And let’s be honest, it’s very much in your character to have given Heather the black eye. Stop being a complete disaster. Save your energy for prison."

Nevertheless, it soon becomes clear that the person Heather is attempting to protect is someone much closer to her. The episode concludes with the producers questioning Heather in a confessional. "Why do you not want to talk about it?" They inquire, "Who are you trying to protect?" She says, "Myself," followed by a "to be continued" tease. Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out the truth behind this perplexing story.

'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' airs on Bravo on Wednesday at 8 pm.
