Jeffrey Epstein 'buried in unmarked tomb' beside his parents at a Jewish mausoleum in Florida
Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire investor and convicted pedophile, who committed suicide by hanging in his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, New York, on August 10, has likely been laid to rest in a Jewish mausoleum in Loxahatchee, Florida, beside his parents, Pauline and Seymour.
According to Daily Mail, after holding a low-key funeral service last week at Frank E. Campbell funeral chapel in Manhattan's Madison Avenue, New York, for his deceased brother, Mark, 65, organized the discreet burial at the IJ Morris Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches, a large community mausoleum housing dozens of other Jewish graves. However, when the outlet contacted Mark to confirm that the accused 66-year-old sex trafficker's remains had been sealed inside the mausoleum, he angrily said, "It's nobody's f**king business." The sole inheritor of Epstein's $577 million fortune further added, "It's a private family matter, you got that? I'm not going to answer your question."
Meanwhile, pictures obtained by Daily Mail showed that the mausoleum staff removed the memorial plate that contained the names of Pauline and Seymour, last Wednesday, August 14, and replaced it with a blank plate without any explanation behind their move. Also, the crypt next to the couple was given a brand new, unmarked plate which might be done in an effort to keep the location of Epstein a secret.
The parent company of IJ Morris, Service Corporation International, also released a statement saying, "As part of our commitment to all families, we guard their privacy and do not discuss specific matters with the media." Due to the property's proximity to the posh Palm Beach, plots and mausoleum spots at the IJ Morris are believed to cost as much as $250,000.
After delaying an official release of Epstein's cause of death, days after his autopsy was completed, the New York City's Medical Examiner confirmed last week that Epstein committed suicide by hanging himself as he awaited trial for child sex trafficking. After his death, Mark was called to identify his body. According to Epstein's death certificate, his brother took charge of his brother's body last Tuesday, August 13.
Epstein was forced to register as a sex offender after he pleaded guilty to in 2008 to the charges of unlawfully paying a teenage girl for sex in Florida. However, after his arrest on July 6, 2019, he pleaded not guilty to federal charges of sex trafficking of underage girls as young as 14. It’s feared his victims may not get a penny in compensation because he moved all his fortune into a secret trust just before he killed himself.
