Pop duo Jedward's mother Susanna Condron has died after a long battle with cancer

Twin musicians Jedward have shared the heartbreaking news of their mother's death after her long battle with cancer. John and Edward Grimes wrote on their Twitter page on February 15 that their mother Susanna Condron has passed away. They uploaded two pictures along with the caption: "Rest In Peace Mammy, you live on through us. We will miss you and your smile. You shaped the character of who we are. Mammy lived with cancer for many years but was always full of life! You live on in our Memories and will always be alive in our Hearts."
Susanna was her twins' manager for years and was one of the reasons that they saw success in reality TV after gaining international fame on 'The X Factor' in 2009. She initially worked as a secondary school teacher in 1984 and taught for 26 years until she quit her job to be her sons' manager.

The proud mother started working as Jedward's personal assistant before she eventually became their manager in 2013. Simon Cowell described Jedward as "not very good and incredibly annoying" when they auditioned in 2009 but it was Irish guest judge Louis Walsh who gave them the opportunity to go to the final 12 contestants and live shows after that.
The pair were able to come sixth overall on the show and were immediately taken under Walsh's wing before they released their debut single, which was a mash-up of David Bowie and Freddie Mercury's Under Pressure with Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby. Susanna was her sons' biggest fan and supported the twins through their sudden rise to fame.
Fans who saw the tweet have already started showing their support for the grieving twin pop stars. One fan wrote: "She was always so proud of you and will forever be proud of you and everything you achieved! And now she’ll live forever through your legacy and all of us." Another added: "R.I.P Mummy Jedward". A third said: "She was such a lovely woman had the pleasure of seeing her at your concert she waved over at me thought she was so warm she be so proud of you."
The twins had a very successful tour of Ireland after they rose in fame and an ITV2 documentary followed after called 'Jedward: Let Loose'. The pair have three albums under their belt - Planet Jedward, Victory and Young Love - of which the first two went double platinum in Ireland.
