Jason Anderson: California ambulance worker, 22, rapes teen patient on way to hospital
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: A California ambulance driver has been arrested for sexually assaulting a teenage patient who was being transported to a hospital. 22-year-old Jason Dean Anderson was on duty in the back of an American Medical Response ambulance last week when he “sexually assaulted and solicited sexual acts from the teenage patient,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Anderson was booked into the Cois M Byrd Detention Center for felony sexual battery and felony sexual penetration by force of a 14 to 17-year old victim. A day after his arrest, Anderson was released from jail on $75,000 bail. Sheriff’s officials believe Anderson could have more victims.

"On Friday, March 25, 2022, deputies from the Southwest Station began an investigation into allegations of a sexual assault against a teenage victim. The investigation revealed the suspect, identified as Jason Anderson, a 22-year-old resident of Wildomar, is an employee of American Medical Response (AMR) transportation company," the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release. "It is alleged that while on-duty in the back of an ambulance, Jason Anderson sexually assaulted and solicited sexual acts from the teenage patient during a medical transport. Jason Anderson was booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center for sexual assault-related charges with a minor and is being held on $75,000 dollar bail.
"The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department believes there may be additional victims that have yet to come forward and any victim is encouraged to contact Investigator Wesley Martinelli from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station at (951) 696-3006," it added.
American Medical Response officials said in a statement KTLA, "We were informed of an alleged incident involving an AMR Riverside employee. Following an internal investigation of the allegations, the incident was reported to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department for further review. The employee in question was placed on administrative leave during the course of our internal investigation and has not worked since the day the alleged incident took place. AMR will cooperate fully during the course of the Riverside Sheriff’s investigation.”
In another very recent case of sexual assault, a bicyclist sexually assaulted a female jogger on a path off West Street in Lower Manhattan on Sunday morning, March 27. The assault, which took place at around 6 am, happened on the Hudson River Greenway at Pier 40 near West and Clarkson streets, cops have confirmed. The attacker pushed the 39-year-old woman down, choked her and sexually assaulted her. He then stole her cell phone, ultimately fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to a hospital for pain and injuries. The attacker has been described as bearded, approximately 5’9”, 180 pounds and between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing dark clothes when he was last spotted. The surveillance footage was reportedly taken from the area of West Street and Charles Lane.
