Fans ask James Corden how he kept a 'straight face' while interviewing 'sleepy' Joe Biden on his talk show

Ever since the death toll in the US from the novel coronavirus surpassed Italy’s long-held record, the whole world is wondering how the US government is going to cope and recover from the collateral damage that the pandemic has caused. 

Meanwhile, Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, who made a special appearance on Tuesday’s (April 21, 2020) episode of ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, had a lot to talk about the crippling social and economic issues the country is embroiled in. 

In an interview that went up to an hour, Biden joined the host from his basement looking different than what he usually does while on the road. He also joked as to how he’s glad that he isn’t in Corden’s basement, as he just can’t sing. 

He also shared that his father who was good with music always told him that he “didn’t have a lip” as he just couldn’t read any song or instrument, but his father loved him anyway. 

Corden’s interview with Biden, which started off on a rather light-hearted note, soon turned a tad bit serious and highly emotional as Biden spoke about US President Donald Trump's inefficiency in dealing with the ongoing health crisis and a drastic decline in the economy. 

Meanwhile, after watching the latest episode of James Corden show, fans have shared some interesting comments on Twitter, asking the host how did he "not fall asleep" while Biden spoke. 

While one fan asked, “I just saw Biden on the Looney. James Corden show..He just let Biden rattle on and on and no questions for crazy Joe..just listened and smiled at old Joe in his basement..Oh...what is going on with Joe's skin.”
