RNC 2020: Jack Brewer insists Trump is not racist, Internet says 'he just out-Kanye'd' Kanye West

Former National Football League player Jack Brewer delivered a speech on August 26 at the Republican National Convention 2020. During the speech, he said, "I know what racism looks like." As soon as his speech started, people started comparing him with Kanye, who was recently in the news for endorsing and "helping" Trump for the November elections.

During his speech at RNC 2020, he accused former Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate, California Senator Kamala Harris, of "locking up countless Black men for nonviolent crimes" and applauded Trump for his attempts “to end mass incarceration". He also said, "I know what racism looks like. I've seen it firsthand. And America, it has no resemblance to President Trump."

During the Wednesday briefing about the convention, Brewer was not mentioned in the speech list. Brewer’s omission came after NPR reported on insider trading charges that were filed against him by the US Securities and Exchange Commission on August 6, 2020. According to court documents, "He is alleged to have sold 100,000 shares in a penny stock after receiving inside information about a likely drop in the share price for the company, COPsync Inc."

The SEC said Brewer sold his stock at prices ranging from $1.01 to $1.16, netting about $104,000. Days later, the market price of the stock had dropped to $0.69 per share. "The complaint also alleged that, despite Brewer's regular access to material nonpublic information by the terms of his consulting agreements, BCM failed to modify and enforce written policies and procedures to prevent the misuse of such information, and Brewer aided and abetted this violation," as quoted by SEC.

As soon as his speech started and he praised Trump, people started drawing a comparison between Brewer and Kanye West. Kanye was recently in the news after #KanyeConJob started trending and later went viral. Allegedly, Republican operatives were working to get Kanye on the 2020 ballot to help him swing Black votes away from Biden, for his old friend Donald Trump.

An internet user tweeted, "Jack Brewer "Black Voices for trump" just said that Trump is NOT a racist and "All Lives Matter." He just out-Kanye'd Kanye." While another one said, "Is Jack Brewer on the new Kanye album?"

Another one called him "worst than Kanye," "Like Black America is going to listen to Jack Brewer he's worse than Kanye and we Cancelled Kanye long ago .....NOT." Another user replied to a tweet saying, "What IS effective is the power of the purse. The power of deciding exactly with whom we do business. It’s clear to me that ANYONE voting for tRump can tell themselves all the stories they want to sleep well. The truth is, you’re absolutely selfish &/or Racist/Nationalist #fact." Another one said, " was thinking the same thing Kanye just got punked, I’m guessing the next time we’re seeing this guy is when he gets his Pardon"

One user questioned "Wait, this dude wasn’t supposed to speak." One angry user said, "I guarantee you: If there are Black families watching this sellout fool Jack Brewer right now, they are shaking their damn heads like me. He is a disgrace." Another one accused him saying, "Jack Brewer is the man who tried to erase President Obama from history and claimed that Donald Trump is “the first black president.” #RNC2020."

Brewer has spent quite some time in NFL, where he played for six seasons. He has played for Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals before retiring in 2006. He also has his own consulting firm Brewer Group Inc.
