Despite the world coming to a standstill due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, a few entertainers are doing their bit to spread some joy in the darkest of times. The blessed actor Jack Black, whose presence always brings laughter, made a special appearance on tonight’s episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ home edition and like always, kick-started with a dramatic entrance at his residence Castle Black.

After briefly talking to Kimmel about being around his kids throughout the day and building a desk for his son’s ho schooling lessons, Jack introduced the audience to his pet tortoises.

The 'Jumanji' actor who is currently parenting three pet tortoises told Kimmel that he inherited them from his wife’s mother. Although he has had them at his residence for quite some time now, Jack finds it "weird" that these creatures can outlive him.

He even explained to Jimmy that the tortoises hibernate similar to bears and his pets were cold out since last December.

The rest of the segments saw Jack and Jimmy talk about the former’s TikTok video videos which have garnered a lot of attention and they even shared their mutual love for Sammy Davis Jr.

However, what seems to have the viewers’ attention the most from the latest episode was definitely Jack’s pet tortoises and fans can’t stop adoring them on social media.

“I saw you on Jimmy Kimmel @jackblack. I am a huge fan of you and tortoises. I have always wanted a tortoise, they are so cute. There are no places near me that have tortoises. I hope you and your tortoises good health during this hard time,” wrote one fan.

“I love Jack Black! His tortoise stories on #jimmykimmel cracked me up,” wrote another fan.

And some, couldn’t help but laugh at his signature dramatic entrance, which headlined tonight’s episode as well.

“I was thinking when I saw you were going to be on Kimmel that we would be shorted on your grand entrance. You did not disappoint!,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

Towards the end of the segment, Jack and Kimmel caught up with a nurse, offering their salutation for the heroic job the medical staff is doing during the pandemic and even made a generous donation to the hospital thanking them for their service.
