The killing of Geroge Floyd in the recent incident of police brutality has prompted people from across the nation and the world to stand up for the rights of the black community. While many celebrities took to their social media handle to voice their opinion about the same, rapper J Cole was spotted at a protest demonstration for Black Lives Matter that took place at his hometown in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The rapper also met with the Mayor of Fayetteville Mitch Colvin, and his fans can't praise him enough for "walking the talk" instead of posting numerous posts on special media from the comfort of their homes like others.

While one fan noted, "While Lil Wayne, TI & Killer Mike say we need to learn more facts and come up with better strategies, J Cole is in the streets with the people of Fayetteville, NC @ Fayetteville, North Carolina." Another social media user shared, "@JColeNC not only talks that talk, he Acts that talk. Celebrities Get off social media and take action and protest #Jcole #fayetteville #Jcole."

"J Cole actually went to the Fayetteville NC protest. Kylie Jenner 'raised awareness' for #BlackLivesmatte with an Instagram story chain. it be the same white people who capitalize of and appropriate black culture that stay silent during these times," read one more tweet. Another fan who was thrilled to see J Cole at his hometown, joining the movement, wrote, "My favorite rapper J Cole out there in Fayetteville walking the talk. Your favorite rapper on twitter still talking…"

Joining him during the protest demonstration was professional basketball player Dennis Smith Jr, who has also earned the respect of citizens for his role in bringing awareness to the much-prevalent issue. Mayor Colvin himself took to Twitter to personally thanks the stars by sharing a statement that read, "Mayor Mitch Colvin — Much respect to @JColeNC and @Dennis1SmithJr for standing with their city... We are Fayetteville Strong...."

Meanwhile, a few have used the platform to tell the anecdote of the town, which holds significance to the current movement. "What ppl don't understand about the downtown protest in Fayetteville where J Cole is at, is that the building they’re all centered around is a landmark that used to be an auction space in the center of town for slaves. sh*t is crazy."
