LAGOS, NIGERIA: Disney+'s latest science-fiction drama miniseries, 'Iwájú' is surely a party of breathtaking visuals.

The series, which was first announced on December 10, 2020, is the celebration of African heritage, centering around the themes of class divide and challenging the status quo.

The six-part television series, helmed by Olufikayo Adeola, explores the friendship of Tola Martins (Simisola Gbadamos), a resident of an island, and Kole Adesola (Siji Soetan), a mainland resident.

Tola and Kole forge a bond of friendship and discover the hazards of their own realms.

The scenario begins with a flashback to how Tola and Kole met for the first time, making Tola increasingly angry at Kole's deception.

Kole expresses regret to Tola and attempts to reason with her, but then comes up with the idea of resurrecting Tola's pet lizard, Otin (Weruche Opia), to overcome the antagonist Bode DeSouza (Femi Branch).

Meanwhile, Bode is brimming with greed. Even after receiving money from Tunde Martins (Dayo Okeniyi), he desires Tunde's firm and its complete clientele.

In response, Tunde tells him that he can only do this using his own computer, forcing Bode to go to the island.

Tola and Kole conspire to resuscitate Otin. In exchange for going to her father's office, she wails uncontrollably and is transported there.

She notices a power supply chip and takes it while claiming to be on Bode's side, using the restroom as an excuse to flee.

Meanwhile, Kole, who was attempting to get components to build a makeshift power supply, is discovered by one of Bode's henchmen. Kole defeats him with the assistance of Tola.

Eventually, they are successful in resurrecting Otin, who attacks the goons left and right.

Furthermore, Tola exposes Bode by broadcasting the confession of his crimes live on television; as a result, Bode is ultimately taken into custody by the authorities.

In the end, both Tola and Kole reunite and do their symbolic friendship routine.

'Iwájú' is now streaming on Disney+
