Ivanka slammed for suggesting everyone older than 6 months should get flu shot: 'Have you gone to the dark side?'

Another user commented, 'My husband got a flu shot a few years ago which gave him a flu that turned into pneumonia and he almost died. Not everyone can handle a flu shot'

Ivanka Trump got slammed for suggesting that everyone who is six months of age and older should be receiving flue shots to keep themselves from falling ill this flu season. "Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu shot every season with rare exception. Now more than ever it is critical to take care of ourselves and one another," the first daughter wrote on Twitter for which she received a lot of flack from social media users who said that they would rather build up their immunity rather than go for flu shots.

"One of the most serious documented influenza vaccine reactions is Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). GBS involves inflammation of the peripheral nervous system and can cause temporary or permanent paralysis that may lead to death," one of them said, while another wrote, "My husband got a flu shot a few years ago which gave him a flu that turned into pneumonia and he almost died. Not everyone can handle a flu shot." A third commented, "Vitamin D supplements work better than the flu shot. We never get sick. They have gummie vitamin D3 for children also."

Another was of the following opinion: "How bout we learn to raise our immunity as God created within us. Absolutely NO to the poison shots!! We're woke now!!! No one's going back to sleep either!" One more user could not believe that Ivanka was the one who was propagating in favor of getting flu shots. "Have you gone to the dark side? you want ppl to get a flu shot? what are all the ingredients? then we can make an educated choice," the user said, while the next one remarked, "An infant's immune system isn't even developed until 2 yrs of age. In 2019 the flu shot was shown to be 9% effective. It is useless. Not to mention if we're all in masks that 'protect us' from a virus, why the need for a shot that only aggravates the immune system? Wtf  Ivanka." Another concerned parent said, "Ivanka! I would rather see you promote boosting the immunity naturally instead of the dangerous flu shot! As much as I love you I would never take or give my child the flu shot."

Ivanka was not the only one who landed in hot waters for her tweet about the Flu season. President Donald Trump took to Twitter and compared the flu season to the COVID-19 virus. "Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!" he wrote.

While his post was removed by Facebook, Twitter slapped a warning on it and advised users to view it at their own discretion. The warning said, "This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible."
