Ivanka Trump reportedly in consideration to be the next President of the World Bank
Following the sudden departure of the World Bank's president of six years, Jim Yong Kim, Ivanka Trump's name has emerged among the many expected considerations for the position of the president, which also includes, David Malpass, a current top US Treasury official on international affairs; Nikki Haley, the former US ambassador to the UN and Mark Green, head of the US Agency for International Development.
Kim stepped down after being nominated for both a first and a second term by the former US President, Barack Obama, and he is reportedly now quitting the job to take up his place at the investment firm, Global Infrastructure Partners. The current president is set to leave office by February 1, which is almost three and a half years before the expiry of his term in 2022.
