Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner compared to 'Two Slice Hilly' from 'The Help' after toilet scandal

News about secret Service agents not being allowed to use any of the half a dozen bathrooms in Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's mansion prompted comparisons to the villainous Hilly Holbrook in 'The Help'

It is being dubbed #ToiletScandal and #Toiletgate. News broke hours ago about how Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump did not let the Secret Service agents protecting them to use any of the 6.5 bathrooms in their mansion.

The Kushners are currently renting in Washington’s elite Kalorama neighborhood. Their 'no bathroom' policy for their security detail forced the agents to install a porta-potty on the sidewalk, which enraged neighbors. After the porta-potty was removed, they resorted to using nearby restaurant facilities and even bathrooms in Obama's garage and in Pence's home at the Naval Observatory. The federal government finally had to shell out money to rent a basement unit with a toilet across the street for the agents for $3K a month, since September 2017. 

The Kushners' behavior toward the very people protecting their lives sparked condemnation on social media where they were compared to the racist bully called Hilly Holbrook played by Bryce Dallas Howard in 'The Help'. One of the iconic scenes from the film is Hilly telling her Black maid Minnie (Octavia Spencer) that she is fired because she used the guest bathroom inside the house. In the film, Hilly also drafts the "Home Health Sanitation Initiative" bill that requires every white home to have a separate bathroom for "the help".

Twitter users immediately picked up on how the behavior of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner was similar to Hilly's behavior in 'The Help'. Said one user, "Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner when the people who guard their safety have the audacity to need a piss break", while another commented: "I understanding @IvankaTrump and @jaredkushner got their idea for accommodating the Secret Service's bodily needs from 'The Help'"

Some users made direct comparisons between them, especially Ivanka Trump with the character of Hilly. "And we thought that Hilly Holbrook aka Ivanka Trump was a fictional character from 'The Help'," said one tweet. Another user echoed the sentiment, repurposing one of Hilly's dialogues from the film to the situation, saying, "Them secret service guys carry different diseases then we do".

"This isn't entitlement. It's classist. 'The help doesn't use our amenities.' even though the help is there to keep them alive. Can you imagine what they really think of Trump's base?," asked one user about the perceived view the Trumps seem to have for working-class people. Donald Trump, himself, was reportedly disappointed that his supporters storming the Capitol looked too "low class". Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, his senior advisers, with this latest development, hasn't helped.

After the news broke, some users also wanted Ivanka and Kushner to suffer the same fate as Hilly in the film. The film's antagonist is branded as "Two Slice Hilly" after she eats two pieces of the chocolate pie cooked by her former maid Minnie. Minnie later reveals that she had baked in her own excrement into the pie as revenge for her unfair firing. "Sounds like The Help, somebody needs to bring Ivanka a pie." In another tweet thread where one user put them in the "Sh**ty People" category, a reply said: "We saw that behavior in The Help... I'd love for @IvankaTrump and the husband turd to get a 'special Pie'."
