'It's Okay to Not be Okay' Episode 9 will see Kang-tae finally let go of everything that has been holding him back. All the restraint that he had placed upon himself in the hopes of caring well for his brother who has autism will come free in episode 9 after he runs away with Mun-yeong. He has been suspended from OK Psychiatric Hospital for using violence against a patient's guest, however, he is not unhappy because what he did was right.

So he walks out of the hospital with a smile on his face because of how liberated he had felt while he threw his first punch. The promo of the upcoming episode features what happens next. Both Kang-tae and Mun-yeong seem to have traveled away from the hospital and their home for a break and one of the first scenes indicates how Kang-tae gets a chance at trying things that he had never been able to before. For instance, being seated on the passenger seat while Mun-yeong drives at top speed, or lazing around in bed instead of waking up early morning. You name it, Mun-yeong gets Kang-tae to attempt it.

There is also a scene of Kang-tae smiling happily as he looks into a camera with no worries, posing right by Mun-yeong's side and we hear him say that he is now getting to do things in life that he had believed would never be in his reach. He even gets Mun-yeong to accompany him on a walk, on a suspension bridge. When Mun-yeong asks him if this was his idea of fun, with a look of terror in his her eyes, Kang-tae responds that he would never be able to visit the bridge with his brother Sang-tae. Despite being scared, Mun-yeong ends up walking on the bridge with Kang-tae.

While a major part of the promo features cute and lovely moments between Kang-tae and Mun-yeong, including one where Kang-tae says that he had definitely lost his mind for doing this, there is also a part that hints at conflict to come. Sang-tae, who has no idea where Kang-tae and Mun-yeong are, tries to call his brother but is surprised because Kang-tae doesn't answer. Towards the end of the promo, Mun-yeong also tells Kang-tae that she would now prefer if Kang-tae stops taking care of his brother Sang-tae and that definitely bursts the bubble that Kang-tae had so far lived in.

'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' originally airs on tvN on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm KST in South Korea and can be streamed on Netflix.
