'It's Okay to Not be Okay' Episode 3: Mun-yeong's obsession with Kang-tae may turn into something more
Author Ko Mun-yeong (Seo Ye-ji) arrived wearing blood-red heels -- a reference to 'The Lady in Red Shoes' -- at Kang-tae's (Kim Soo-hyun) new place of work in 'It's Okay to Not be Okay'. The scene's mood, befitting of the show's theme, was dark. As she stepped into the hospital, lightning struck and all Kang-tae could see in the dark was Mun-yeong's gorgeous eyes. He had walked away from her before, so he is shocked to see that she followed him to his new neighborhood and hospital. He isn't aware of the fact that she also now recalls their connection from the past.
In the promo of episode 3, we see Kang-tae get mad at Mun-yeong for following her all the way to his new workplace. He has already figured out that Mun-yeong only wants to toy with him and tells her that he doesn't have time to play with her. In response, Mun-yeong calls Kang-tae a hypocrite. She tells him that he is a liar because she knows for a fact that he wants to hang out with her and have fun too. She tries to prove it by continuing to stay around him and in the promo, we see that she gets called in by the psychiatric facility to serve as a teacher for patients. She agrees and as a part of this, she also seems to spend more time around Kang-tae's brother Sang-tae.
Unlike many other people, Mun-yeong seems completely comfortable with Sang-tae and his speech pattern. This could be one of the reasons why Kang-tae begins to trust her just a little more and get closer to her. He is not happy that he is attracted to her, or that something about her has kept him hooked from when he was a kid. In fact, we see him tell Mun-yeong that she makes him worry and think about her even when he doesn't want to. She is surprised by his frustrated confession and tells him in a tone that reflects the same that it now looks like he is not running away anymore.
However, can this be a really good thing for Kang-tae? It is still unclear how deep Mun-yeong's emotions regarding him run. However, he seems to be getting further involved with her and his feelings are so intense that he even seems to have forgotten his brother. The moment that he realizes this, he is heartbroken because all this while, his life revolved around his brother.
