It's a boy! 'Homeland' star Claire Danes welcomes baby #2 with Hugh Dancy
After keeping the pregnancy as much as possible under the wraps, Danes and the 43-year-old English actor is said to have welcomed their bundle of joy on Monday.
Looks like it's going to be a blue-themed celebration for Claire Danes and High Dancy.
The 'Homeland' actress, who is already mother to a 5-year-old son, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, has given birth to her second child, and it's a baby boy again. After keeping the pregnancy as much as possible under the wraps, Danes and the 43-year-old English actor are said to have welcomed their bundle of joy on Monday, August 27 in New York, E! News reports.
The baby news had surfaced back in April itself with Danes confirming that she is expecting baby no. 2 with her husband of almost 10 years during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show. However, at the time, the 39-year-old actress had abstained from revealing the sex of her baby.
"I'm seriously preggo. I'm deep into my second trimester," she had told the radio host, going all hush hush when asked if it's a boy or a girl. "I'm going to keep that to myself," Danes added. Clearly, the actor-actress couple has almost mastered the art of remaining tight-lipped when it comes to their private life, as seen earlier during the time of her son's birth.
In 2013, however, the Emmy-winning actress went a little more candid, sharing the experience of getting back into her role as Carrie Mathison for the Showtime series.
"It was exhausting but also exhilarating. I had just come out of my mommy cocoon and my cushy, mushy love planet. So entering that mania at that point was not as enjoyable," she was quoted as saying.
Danes and Dancy, who are now proud parents to two boys, have been married for almost a decade now after tying the knot back in 2009.
