'Itaewon Class' Episode 5 will see Park Sae-ro-yi hiring Yi-seo despite reservations of his restaurant team
In episode 4 of 'Itaewon Class' we saw how Park Sae-ro-yi (Park Seo-joon) and Yi-seo (Park Da-mi) learn about each other's insecurities and dreams over a drink - coincidentally on Yi-seo's birthday too.
Yi-seo had been intrigued by Sae-ro-yi ever since she met him and learned of his single-minded focus when it came to setting up his business despite heartbreaking obstacles. Now, she wants to get closer to him and she does so by offering to help him market his restaurant and be a partner who would help him grow.
The promo of episode 5 of 'Itaewon Class' hints at Sae-ro-yi accepting Yi-seo's orders because we see him introducing Yi-seo to his bus boy Choi Seung-kwon (Ryoo Kyung-Soo) and cook Ma Hyun-yi (Lee Joo-Young), however, neither of them seem too happy. Especially Seung-kwon because he knows that Yi-seo was the reason why Sae-ro-yi's business was suspended in the first place.
Yet, they seem to accept her because we see how she tries to bring about a complete makeover for Sae-ro-yi's restaurant. The one that has to put up a fight with Jang Pubs that are run by his enemies - Jang Dae-hee (Yoo Jae-myung) and his son Jang Geun-won (Ahn Bo-hyun). In her bid to makeover the restaurant, she confronts the quality of food in the restaurant and tells Sae-ro-yi that he must make a decision and let go of Hyun-yi if he wants to succeed. Sae-ro-yi, however, is not ready to let go of a loyal employee, which he makes crystal clear in the promo.
While it would be interesting to see how Sae-ro-yi handles the situation, there is also his relationship with Soo-ah to speak about. The two have been dancing around each other's feelings, and now Sae-ro-yi has confessed that he is still interested in her despite where she works.
Sae-ro-yi had been quite tolerant about Soo-ah's decision to accept a scholarship from Chairman Jang despite knowing how he helped his son cover up a crime. She also accepted a job offer from them when she completed her college education, and seven years later, when Sae-ro-yi was back to set up his pub as he had promised, she had risen through the ranks of Jang Corporation.
She had changed enough to call the cops on Sae-ro-yi's restaurant when she recognized Yi-seo to be underage instead of informing him. Yet, Sae-ro-yi accepted it and in the promo, she seems to have received a direct order from Chairman Jang that it is now time to remove Sae-ro-yi's restaurant from the vicinity of Jang Pub.
She seems to be conflicted about bringing harm to Sae-ro-yi just a tad bit but when she does speak to him in the promo she says she doesn't feel sorry about everything that she had done to him in the process of making her dreams come true. Sae-ro-yi accepts this as well and accepts her too, and Yi-seo chances upon them just when they are about to kiss. She seems shocked, but how will this pan out?
