Is Trump receiving IV fluids? Bandage on POTUS hand raises doubts about recovery after Covid-19 diagnosis
President Donald Trump, who is less than a month away from his re-election contest against Democratic party candidate Joe Biden, has been receiving unending flaks from all quarters for the way his administration handled the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since the president himself was diagnosed with Covid-19, the illness he initially dubbed "the Chinese virus", the criticism against him only intensified. Following his recent discharge from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Trump made multiple statements through Twitter videos, asking the American population to not be scared of the virus, to not let it dominate their lives, and promising a vaccine very soon. But after a series of images showed Trump with a bandage covering the top of his hand, people all over social media began wondering if the president is actually cured of the disease yet.
A Twitter user, sharing images of Trump with the visible bandage on his hand, wrote, "Why did Trump have band-aids on his hand? Photos suggest he may still be receiving IV fluids or drugs – despite claiming to be 'medication free'. At the White House rally, he took off his mask and said 'I'm feeling great' and the coronavirus is "disappearing", while another user, not believing that the president has been cured, said: "Donald Trump went from being on an oxygen tank to fully recovered from Covid in four days. Something isn’t adding up here." Reiterating the above points, another Twitter user wrote, "Trump was on Fox News yesterday saying that he was taking his last treatment for Covid. Yet today he had band-aids on his hand obviously from IVs."

Another commented, "Donald Trump, why did you have two band aids on your old man hands today on the balcony? What meds are you still taking intravenously? The American people have the right to know," while another quipped: "Trump on Fox News – did you see the HUGE bandaid on his right hand??? Anyone else think this is BS? He went from saying he wasn’t taking anything since eight hours ago to saying he’s taking 'virtually nothing'. He then said he was tested and thinks his numbers will be low? Low? NOT positive/negative?" Saying that Trump must've received intravenous therapy, a user tweeted, "Trump had bandaids on the top of his hand today. That means he had an IV as late as this morning. No one leaves the bandaid on for more than a few hours. Especially not someone like Trump who wouldn't want a visual reminder for the crowd to focus on."
