'The Voice' finale that aired on Tuesday crowned a 15-year-old Shoreham, New York, native, Carter Rubin, as the winner of the show and this young man's coach on the show happened to be none other than Gwen Stefani. Season 19 of 'The Voice' saw some tough competition between the competitors and the coaches who worked with them to bring out the best of their talents to the fore. In that vein, it was a big night for Stefani as her team member Rubin beat the other contestants, hands down. While not all fans of the show were happy about this result, Stefani did not let this affect her and instead took to social media to announce this victory.

After a series of videos where we saw Stefani with Rubin, there was a video uploaded to Stefani's stories on Instagram in which the singer and her fiance Blake Shelton were featured. The country singer happens to be another coach on the show so even as Stefani seems ecstatic about this victory, he was resigned. To rub salt in his wounds, Stefani joyfully noted, "I just beat Blake Shelton at 'The Voice', just so you know." Then we see Shelton say, "This show is rigged." eliciting laughter from Stefani. When Rubin was announced as the winner of the show, he shook his head in disbelief and it was Stefani who yelled "You won!"

Rubin is a young male singer to win the crown at 15, after season 14's Brynn Cartelli. The other members who had reached the finale were John Holiday (from John Legend's team), Desz (from Kelly Clarkson's team) and Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan (who were part of Blake Shelton's team). Before the results were announced, Stefani had performed 'You Make It Feel Like Christmas' with Rubin. The one to finish second was Shelton's team member Jim Ranger, and when the results were announced, fans had taken to social media to express how they felt that he was robbed of his victory with Rubin's win.

In one of the celebratory videos that were posted by Stefani, Rubin says that he dedicates his victory to Stefani because she had been a great coach to work with. In another video, Stefani exclaimed, "We won," and added further, "This is so crazy. We're trying to understand that this is happening right now." When Stefani had replaced Nick Jonas in the show, she had said during the season premiere, "Blake won last season, but I’m back this season and I’m going to get a win."
