The romance drama series 'Off Campus,' adapted from Elle Kennedy’s 'Off Campus' book series, was given a season order by Prime Video in October 2024. The show is set to debut its first season, based on the first book, 'The Deal,' sometime in May on the streaming service. Louisa Levy has created the series and serves as its showrunner alongside Gina Fattore. Moreover, Amazon MGM Studios announced on February 12, months ahead of its official premiere, that the series had been renewed for Season 2.

As per the show's official logline, 'Off Campus' focuses on 'an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.' The romance between the shy songwriter Hannah Wells, played by Ella Bright, and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete Garrett Graham, played by Belmont Cameli, takes centre stage in Season 1. Last year in July, Deadline exclusively reported on the casting of 'Shameless' star Steve Howey as Garrett’s dad, Phil, a former hockey legend who drives his son to excellence. Lastly, Josh Heuston stars as Hannah’s longtime crush and a rock band singer, Justin.

Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, released the following statement following the announcement of Season 2 renewal. "Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience. With its passionate fan base, rich source material, and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life, we knew that this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season. Set against the high-intensity world of college hockey, the series explores deeply personal journeys and is brought to life by a tremendously talented cast whose chemistry and authenticity make every moment feel real. We have great confidence in the way Louisa has mastered this adaptation, and we’re excited to give fans even more of the romance, friendship, and heart that define the series."

Antonio Cipriano's John Logan is the leading star of the second book, 'The Mistake,' which will likely be adapted for Season 2. Similarly, Stephen Kalyn's character, Dean Di Laurentis, will take the lead in the third book, 'The Score,' and possibly in Season 3. Mika Abdalla, who was recently seen in 'The Pitt,' has been cast as his love interest, Allie Hayes. As per Deadline's exclusive report from June 25, 2025, Khobe Clarke will play the recurring role of Dean's best friend and star quarterback, Beau Maxwell. Beau has an older sister, the Broadway actor Joanna Maxwell. Season 4 may cover the fourth book, 'The Goal,' and focus on Jalen Thomas Brooks' character, John Tucker.

In early November 2025, several recurring roles for the teen show were filled by AJ Abell, Francesca Bianchi, Kai Bradbury, Karis Cameron, Josh Chambers, Riley Davis, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Quinten James, Dylan Kingwell, Riley Orr, Lauren Patten, Frankie Randysek, Brandon Scott, Jennifer Spence, Julia Sarah Stone, Marlee Walchuk, and Chad Willett. The executive producers of 'Off Campus' are Wyck Godfrey, James Seidman, and Marty Bowen for Temple Hill; Leanna Billings for Billings Productions; and Neal Flaherty, Levy, and Fattore. Temple Hill’s Annika Patton and the author Kennedy have producing credits.
