LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ has shifted from politics and moved to extramarital affairs and social media addiction on Wednesday’s ‘Hot Topics’ segment. The study in question during the segment was from the University of Windsor, where 16-30-year-olds were asked what they would be willing to give up to remain on social media.

Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin are all over 30, so they couldn’t relate to the study as much as the people who were a part of it. In fact, they were incredibly shocked at the things people are willing to give up just to stay on social media. Amidst this conversation, Behar, who is also the senior-most co-host had a moment where she tore up the cue cards in her hand.

What happened to Behar?

All the co-hosts spent a good amount of time being shocked at the statistics and the different things people were willing to give up to stay on social media. Some of these things included caffeine, sex, and even going to their favorite restaurant. While none of the co-hosts could relate to this social media obsession until Behar chimed with something she absolutely could not give up. Goldberg had her attention as she got everyone to quiet down, “Wait wait wait, the one thing Joy could not give up.”

Behar took the stage, “Drumroll please, okay…air conditioning. That’s a deal breaker. I will tear up every social media, I don’t care, you put that air-conditioner on.” As she said the words ‘tear up’ Behar quite literally tore the cue cards to add to the dramatics.

Is Behar active on social media?

It looks like Behar won’t have to give up on her air conditioning any time soon, because, unlike her other co-hosts, she isn’t too active on social media to begin with. While Behar does have an Instagram account, she hasn’t posted anything in over two years now. As for Twitter, Behar occasionally retweets, but nothing too regularly, and it is almost always political. In addition to this, she is the only co-host on ‘The View’ who doesn’t have a Threads account yet. So, air conditioning – 1, social media – 0.
